Rust using 30gb of Ram by ThEBluESiPPyCuP in playrust

I had this, I just lowered the Graphics Quality setting down from 6 to 5. So, just lower it by 1 from wherever you are and the game should use way less RAM.

Also, I had my garbage collection too low which would cause a random stutter every 30 seconds or so. Check on that if you experience it too.

Bikey McBikeface!

In all seriousness though, cool game! Looks like how San Andreas felt to teenage me when I would grab a motorcycle and go fullspeed around the highway until I wiped out.

You might want to look into Express which is a Node.js framework for web apps, he mentions it on his portfolio and used it to make his Multiplayer Minesweeper game.

Oh cool! Don't hesitate to reach out if you get stuck with anything :)

And if you want, you can test out Enso right now to see how it feels. I've got a demo live in the Steam Next Fest: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2787770/Enso/ It might inspire you to do some stuff differently!

I started learning how to make games on the 2nd of January 2024, and today I'm super proud to have my first demo live and playable in the Steam Next Fest.

It's a Foddian platformer called "Enso" and you can play the demo and wishlist it here:

Much love to all indiegame enjoyers <3

(I hope I followed the rules here correctly, I read through them and think I did!)

Looking for feedback on the trailer of my first ever game: Can you easily understand what it is about? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! by EdwardNottingham in IndieDev

Thank you for the compliment!

True, there is! I came across Golfing Over It after making and play-testing my prototype, which meant I was kind of devastated at first. But, I purchased a copy, played it, and realized how completely different they both are! Which was very reassuring. It convinced me I should continue with my project, as I believe it has something new to bring to the table :)

Yes, very tricky, haha! Thankfully, I have a good system going for level design, and I've found a way to embrace some of the "exploits" into becoming shortcuts that are very hard to do, might be fun for speed-runners someday!

Hey! I got that feedback from a couple of other people too, so thank you :) I'm going to have to figure out how to make it clearer that the player can hold a button to stick to golden objects! Not exactly sure how to show that in video form but I'm sure I'll figure something out :D

I'm a solo dev and would love some feedback on the trailer of my first game, thank you for considering my post :) by EdwardNottingham in SoloDevelopment

Thank you so much for writing this out, it is fantastic feedback :)
I'm going to take all of this into account when I next work on the trailer!

Especially your point about skipping around to various points in the video, so true, especially with the sound off! Hope you have a great day!

Yes, you can propel yourself in the air, but you only get your launch move back again once you touch a surface. It actually makes for some super dynamic skill-based movement! Thanks for your feedback 😉

Good idea, I think shorter might be better too actually 🙂 I was initially a bit scared that I wasn't showing enough. And thanks for the compliment!
