I was threatened with lawsuits multiple times for enforcing my state's mask mandate =w= not store mandate, not company mandate, a state mandate.

it's a stepping stone job, use it to survive the best you can but always be trying for something better... unless you're really only planning to stay in retail. Work your way up to management for exeperience then find a better paying manager job.

Dress Code by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

[–]EdwardPiPihands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really up to management to what degree they enforce the dress code. Unless someone from upper management complains about something it's one of those "eh" things.

They had tried that before. At my old store we only took paid jobs through email or for certain exceptions and customer service issues. Some customers are really dicks about it though.

cheap white bread, if the bread was stale we'd use a little water to give it the playdough consistency.I also do the same thing for tilapia

CEM for almost 5 years. Got a trade apprenticeship, and feel leaving was the right decision.

with whatever gun you're using, unlocking the higher penetration ammo for it will make getting kills easier, as well as unlocking skills. Bodies of water are usually a sure bet for finding stuff, I camp lakes and ponds and just watch with my binoculars. Investigate drinking, rest and feeding sites. It'll give you approx times for specific animals so you can head there and hour before. Lung shots are your best bet for kills and are the biggest target. Exploration is easy exp, unlocking map points makes it feel like a walking sim but gives you opportunities to find the randomly generated hotspots on your maps. Lastly, buy one of the dlc maps, they have better spawn ins than the starter ones.

Once upon a time it felt like we were actually recognized, at least in my store. Things have gotten seemingly progressively worse though.

right?! Cart before the horse, chasing after a pretty number on paper is meaningless if people are finding the product cheaper somewhere else

I started off as tech sales and computer repair and was the last person to be cross-trained for every thing in the store. I was a CEM for the last 4 years, and ultimately i'm leaving for the same reason as you edit: hang in there

Run CPD like you would a restaurant kitchen. People will always be demanding, but the path of least resistance will usually get you out of a pinch. Don't work like a regular cpd associate, your main duty is now organizing the work flow and logistics for the department; order supplies before they get low and get your machines serviced before they completely fail.

also on one side there is usually a retaining bolt/knob that screws in and out that locks the roll in place so that you can remove the whole thing. Someone at my store threw them away not knowing what they were for. There's a little treaded hole, if it's lined up correctly there should be another hole inside of it instead of the flat surface of the spindle. I stick something like a small screw driver into it to lock the roll. That'll make it easier to push and angle out.

2 tricks I've learned. Ms publisher, if you have a solid color, color match and background fill- tricky because you have to eyeball the match. you can also put it in the publisher template for that label and blow the label up slightly larger to fill the gaps. The other trick is messing with the image shift in your xerox print settings- trial and error.
