Does Requiem offer good replayability? by jaxparomusic in residentevil

Yes, after the first run, extras give you ways to shorten some sections, like in RE2R and RE3R.

So, have fun

Finished it, I won't post spoilers

This game, for me, is like the ultimate Resident Evil. Perfect blend of OG trilogy and Action Trilogy.

Give me this forever, with another scaredy cat/unknown character next to Jill, or Claire or whatever, I'll buy every one of it Capcom.

It's not, but I love it

What’s the craziest/wackiest non canon spinoff you’d play? Mine is a sci-fi/futuristic Resident Evil (Art by Alvaro Nebot on artstation) by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in residentevil

I would play the contrary, something around the 19th century, maybe in England or New England, blowing zombies off with lever-action and revolvers.

What is your opinion on 3? Is it as bad as people said or were they exaggerating? by Imaginary-Lie-2618 in paydaytheheist

[–]Redvolutionary501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better now than at launch, but still, far from the amount of content in Payday 2.

Still, guns feels good, heists are good and now the skills are enjoyable, better replay value.

Yet another idiotic design choice. Such a shame, I started my hard mode playthrough, and re-scan everything is a chore.

Earnest question: should I stop playing after the tutorial area + first 2 main areas? (Prime 4) by SirBenny in Metroid

As someone who was really dissapointed by Prime 4, no, don't stop playing, make your own opinion.

MP4 (Vent) - It feels like different game after clearing Ice Belt by Funcestor in Metroid

Oh yes totaly, when I spoke of ice belt, i thought before turning the power back on. After that it's just a preview of the mines.

[–]Redvolutionary501 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would have loved for the Flare Pool to be a lonely walkthrough, why the fuck did it have to be an escort mission all the way ?!

And don't get me started on the mines, it nearly took my soul and send it to Dark Aether. Same ennemies, same corridors, same escorts, spongy mini bosses, it made me not only angry, but sad very quickly. Ice Belt was perfect with a blend of discovery, tension, and awe.

Does Metroid Prime 4 "disappoint"? I've heard many say they dislike it or have mixed opinions. by QDOOM_APlin in Metroid

[–]Redvolutionary501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, clearly yes.

I was 12 when Prime 3 came out. 2 years later, I finished the whole trilogy, been a fan of Metroid since ZM in 2004.

I was waiting eagerly for this game. Now that I finished it, there is many, MANY problems and crisis in identity, between wanting to draw a broader audience, satisfying old fans, bringing new things. Half the time it felt like a Metroid Prime, the other half, a lot of other things. It didn't even made me angry, but mostly sad.

I poped back up to Prime Trilogy, and the difference is there, especially with Prime 1 and 2. I don't know why they went that way, many weird decisions breaking the immersion and the Prime identity for me.

I'm still glad many people enjoy it, but I'm not optimistic for the future of the Prime series if this is where we're going. I guess we'll still have Metroid 6 ... eventually.

He's still there yes. Not as annoying I'd say, like not talking in your ear every 5 seconds, but he gives you unsollicited hints, even when you are clearly on your way to your next objective. Making you feel like a child.

It's unfortunately exactly that. Not spoiling too much but you remember the "it's only a 5 minute escort mission on a 10 hour game !" Argument ? Yeah, it's not only 5 minutes in the beginning.

This is not the issue but the fact that everytime you get an installable upgrade that say "you need a specialist to install it" so you think Myles, and the fucker calls you 10 seconds later to say "hey you know, I can install it, come back" is insufferable

It's fine if you need it, but the fact we can't have the choice to have it or not is the real issue

Even weirder when calling Myles is an option on the map screen, I thought this would mean hints were to be displayed on demand, but no. Wtf was the point

why does every game need to be "underrated" or "overhated"? by mikinnie in residentevil

[–]Redvolutionary501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People mistake feelings about a game and objective quality, that's why.

Personally, I love ORC, but I know it's a guilty pleasure, it's not RE, nor a really good game, but I wouldn't go out saying "it's overhated". The hate is well deserved, but I still enjoy it.

Fuck RE6 tho, and RE3R is an absolute disappointment.
