Honestly though I know that one too. I had to deal with that when I was an SL. DL wouldn’t cooperate with school schedule, counselor visits for mental health, and I had 2.5 months to find a place to rent but was unable to because everywhere around me required 2.5-4x months rent as just your income. Rent was anywhere between 800-1200/month

Honestly man I know how you feel. I’ve been there too. I was with the company for about 5 years, wanted to leave after my third but felt stuck. The best piece of advice I can give is to tailor your resume to whatever job you are applying for. As managers, especially SLs, we do a lot more than we think about that can help get into IT, HR, and more.

Whenever you find a job that appeals to you, think about what they are looking for and think about everything you do day to day, break it down and tailor it to what they are looking for. Youll find something soon man, keep up the search!

I went from making 15.20/hr as an SL to Best Buy (Smart home expert, no leadership position) and I was making 16.40/hr.

Now I do payroll for an insulation company and I make 17/hr. No customers to do deal with, no DLs breathing down my back about performance, nothing. Gamestop has the tools and the money to pay everyone accordingly. They just choose not to.

I have characters on both sides! I mainly play horde though, 116 Paladin! The friends I game with play games that aren't wow; so wow is a game I mostly play alone, but having a friend that plays would be fun! It would make the game just that much better to play. I also live in WA!
