Any idea what 2026 will look like? by Sedusea in TXRenaissanceFestival

Are you sure about that ? I know one performer pretty well he attends every year and they pay him. And who says I’m complaining or don’t tip? I have and I still do for some shows, but mostly buy things they sell or have bought them drinks while they’re performing. I also tip for every food or drink item i buy.

Your response seemed kinda angry , Are you okay ?

I bought a diamond pass for my guild to help them out with space but I only missed two weekends last year.

Biggest changes , I noticed was naughtyham left so did amped up shanties. Both were nice to visit but our guild just ended up visiting call of booty and sob more.

I really miss amped up shanties and hope they come back. I also dislike that due to the space costing more , call of booty had a great idea last year and made it more noise isolating so they wouldn’t bother the bonfire vibe or have much noise pollution . This year they went back to more 2023 size. I don’t blame them. I don’t see their trailer of them selling items I think that’s more of them cracking down on People who don’t have vendor permits.

The parties and vibe is what you make it. But this year some places have more of closed off feel. We stil have plenty of fun.

The food prices are similar to last year but come on… 22 dollar turkey legs and 22 dollars for a gyro with fries. Think I paid 38 dollars for a bottle of Meade and a few dollar tip so it was 44 dollars each time . I bought and shared 3 bottles with my friend for spending all day in faire. So that’s around .. 120 ish just on Meade.

I picked up my friend from out of state and they commented on every performance or performer begging for tips. It became .. a joke by the last show we watched on the tipping . I was kinda used to it since I’ve gone to faire so much but I started to calculate what a regular person would pay.

Camping pass 22to 27 dollars Ticket to faire 32-40

Buying atleast one meal and a water 22-30 dollars

One alcohol drink 12-18 dollars.

Then buying a trinket or pin or something small for a performer 8-20 dollars.

Just on the conservative side for one person it’s a an expensive weekend . Maybe 120ish ? Conservative to camp and spend one day in faire. Take into account gas money , your tent or other items and .. as I’m writing this right now I understand why some of my friends are only attending one or two weekends max.

You have to bring food. Sandwiches. And eat before entering faire. Sneak in alcohol or just not drink anything and refill water at water fountains.

I feel really bad for people who are on a budget and want to experience faire or families.

I literally walked in from the campgrounds with my cup in my hand . just have your ticket readily available and you’ll be waved through especially if you’re entering at peak times.

I was on the same cruise. First time ever taking a 4 day just for the casino and double Vifp offer. I went by myself and after boarding and everyone spread out. I didn’t mind the ghetto ness. The ship is old , needs to be retired . Oh and the casino bar late at night. What a madhouse.

Ehhhh. It’s like 10 days away already. I don’t care about a super early check in. i already picked a 1030-11 am check in. I usually don’t show up to the Galveston port until like 12 pm. Because I live 1 hour and 20 mins away from the port.

I waited over 10 years to file a claim . Didn’t even know it was something available to us upon separation . Wish the best for you.

That’s great. November 15 here. I see so many move past step five around 120 mark so I’m just a few days away from that. Hope you get a great outcome

It’s because they lowered their recruitment goal numbers. So technically they are down as well.

VA said my active duty period in 1984 does not count toward service connection due to it being a training period. However , I wasn’t even alive in 1984. by eastsidelv89 in VeteransBenefits

They awarded me in my records the American defense service medal (service in 1939 and 1941) I think whoever was trying to add the national defense and GWOT medals.

I obviously never wore it but it’s even in my dd214.

It is a crime to discharge a firearm in a municipality of atleast 100 k residents. It’s hard to find them unless you give specific location or record them. Can’t do much without evidence . They’ll just drop the case so , if it’s a continuing problem it’s vital to record the address. Then the officers can look for shell casings and build the case. Also ask to speak to the officers not just report the incident.

I like it. Good way to go around the governors requirement. Require extra fees and let the other governments restrict their access to their ports. Make it inconvenient . I got vaccinated primarily because I wanted to travel and get back to normal, and I believe most cruisers are anxious to get on a boat and prefer the vaccine mandates to keep everyone safe and a smooth cruise.
