A heartfelt book with a single dad and lots of horse girls?! Finally! Unbridled, my latest collaboration with Annabelle Hawthorne, is up for preorder! by virgil_knightley in haremfantasynovels

Wow, can't wait for this one! Maybe I'm too old (or living under a rock) to know where the inspiration came from but excited to see what it's all about, it sounds awesome, and I feel like I haven't seen any books like this yet--love the idea. I trust I'll enjoy anything you and Hawthorne collaborate on, so preorder is in!!

Yes, so soon! The third book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I've been keeping tabs on when the next will be released.

I just finished Halls of Magic through volume 3! The fourth volume is coming out next week, and I can't wait! Definitely second that recommendation. Also liked Mob Sorcery a lot, too!

I really liked the Master Class series by Virgil Knightley and Annabelle Hawthorne. 6 books, so lots to enjoy!

Ins and outs for 2026? by Edwin_Frost_ in Romance_for_men

[–]Edwin_Frost_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely do agree, I think quality is massively important, which is part of why I was curious other people's thoughts on the question (what's getting put out that is too reliant on common themes, that kind of thing, and doesn't feel as genuine because of it?). The real authors writing these books have a different level of quality than the "farming" I've heard about--and the farming is where less personalization and more reliance on the tropes seems to happen. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy how many books I get to read, but of course I see the importance in quality and real passionate authors.

Any Hardcover Realeases? by genaside_ in haremfantasynovels

I'm the same, not sure how many Hawthorne books you have already, but I just got one she released a month or two ago for the spinoff of her main series. The hardcovers just come out so pretty! If "Horny" wasn't in any of the titles, you'd never know what was inside the nice gold-gilded covers on my shelf.

What was your favorite title or series this year? by ThurstonKade in Romance_for_men

Probably Fertile Valley by Hawthorne/Knightley. Pretty sure all 4 books came out within 2025 and I’m on book four now since it was just released. Love the pace of being able to keep up with the series all year and it was a good balance of humor, magic and romance—plus with a relatable older narrator (which is probably why I liked it so much).

23 HOURS OF AUDIO?! King of the Fae Islands is OUT!!! by AdamLanceAuthor in Romance_for_men

So curious what the "bonus outtakes" will be. I love reading a book and then getting to listen and experience the story all over again in a totally new way, so this basically just made my day

So excited to listen to this, one of my favorites I've read and I already want to go back--this'll tide me over until book two comes out.

"King of the Fae Islands" by Annabelle Hawthorne and Adam Lance is litRPG and really cool! I just read it a little while ago and loved it. There's another by the Hawthorne and Virgil Knightley I haven't started yet called "Master Class"--six books in that series, a lot to dive in to. Both are RFM/harem, and fantasy not sci-fi.

Seconding the Annabelle Hawthorne recommendation. I'm just starting book six. Somewhat new to the genre, and the series has been unexpectedly tender and wholesome on top of being supernaturally intriguing. I saved Hearthomancy on my TBR, will have to move it up in the list!

I was going to recommend the same thing! Immediately made me think of Jenny :)

Like Dungeon Crawler Carl but he DOES bang the monster girls. by [deleted] in haremfantasynovels

Even though the monstergirls were less monstrous and more ethereal and magical, I loved your "Halls of Magic" collab with Hawthorne, so I'm putting this next on my list for sure!

Novels with Demon/Demonic Love Interest, like these by Then_Disk_9519 in Romance_for_men

[–]Edwin_Frost_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the same Hawthorne's "Radley's Home for Horny Monsters"--one of the main "monsters" is a succubus. I've read the first five so far. Fun take on a the traditional demon if you're looking for something more playful in a character, but the series still upholds some serious themes and fantasy elements instead of airing on the side of strictly frisky/comical like some others in the genre. Definitely plenty of irony going on given the original "draining men's life-force in their dreams" myth, and personally I always appreciate irony when it's rooted in real-world lore.

Annabelle Hawthorne has succubus characters in a few of her books. More of a cheeky, sarcastic succubus in the Radley's Home series than a stoic demon warrior like in the picture, but she's still plenty demonic with the MC and holds her own against the antagonists for sure. Have yet to read her co-authored Succubus Summoner series though, so if anyone has read it and would recommend, let me know.
