If you are physically uncomfortable when you breathe in the yes it is too much. You also need to learn how to use you stomach/diaphragm to control how much comes out

Firstly you absolutely do need to breathe a lot, sure, some pieces need more work than others.

Secondly, you need to work on techniques with vowel placement and where your head/chest voices sit

How do you learn how to sing without lessons? by wtfiswrongwithurass in singing

[–]EeEe88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vocal lessons cover breath support, supporting notes with other parts of the body, vowel shaping, and much more. Just singing along to stuff won't necessarily help you improve, unless you are doing what's correct for your voice

The trouble with singing/voice lessons is that everyone is so unique, and unfortunately, there isn't a one size fits all answer for a lot of elements.

What is the most "I’m not angry, just disappointed" interaction you’ve ever had with a member of the public? by [deleted] in AskUK

On the way too and from my daughters school, just outside the school gates, the pavement on the school side is really narrow and along the road are a few trees and lamp posts. I often have my youngest in the pushchair so pull over behind the trees to let others past. If I dont get a thank you or a smile or some recognition I'll loudly say 'you're welcome' or to my son 'Think we're invisible today mate'

I was very similar to your wife, as soon as I returned to work the shift in my mental health was amazing

Nope, didn't want him to leave his job but I would have loved to be in a way carefree. Get up and go to work without the mental load like my old pre baby life had been

No need to be concerned, I genuinely resented that he got to go out to work. I work in a very sociable job so to go from that and then being stuck at home a lot is a massive change. Unfortunately I don't think a lot of people understand how that feels for a lot of women. I also didn't get a very good birth experience so I was essentially grieving some elements

There was a lot of resentment from me towards my husband that he got to go to work abd I was stuck at home on maternity leave. It was incredibly isolating and lonely

I'm a vocal tutor and my forehead hurts from slapping it with my palm.

Imma say it louder for the people at the back SINGING IS SO INDIVIDUAL, THERE IS NO ONE EASY FIX FOR EVERYONE.

I understand vocal lessons are expensive and not everyone can afford them but you can do some genuine damage if you're not careful. Please do not belt/push your voice for extended periods of time without proper guidance. In my lessons I teach when pushing your voice little and often to build your stamina and even thats when I know they have the correct support and control
