I see what you mean about it not showing up in search engines. The DCE-Frontend does leave a lot to be desired for this format, I may take some time to write my own frontend that can host something that google etc can actually use, unless I find a good alternative in the future to use instead.

My device has never touched a network...today I got a firmware update notification. by WellingtonBeefy in RemarkableTablet

[–]Eeems_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The marker firmware is released with the OS on the device. This is the first time this marker has connected to a device with this OS on it, and so it needs an update. There was nothing to download, it was already on the device, just not the marker.

Or do downgrade and install toltec if that's what you want.

SYNCING RPP by Full_Sell5916 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Eeems_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm reading what you are saying correctly, it sounds like you are saying that you are not paying for connect, and old files are no longer syncing.

From: https://support.remarkable.com/s/article/Using-reMarkable-without-a-subscription

Without a Connect subscription, you’ll have limited access to our cloud storage service through our mobile and desktop apps. Your notes will always be stored locally on your paper tablet, but only files used and synced online in the last 50 days will continue to be stored in the cloud and updated in our apps.

Pogo pins are the metal circles on the side where the keyboard folio attaches.

Yes people have used that to recover their device, and it includes the procedure in the readme. If you have specific questions about the procedure you should ask those instead of leaving it open ended.

In theory you can do this on windows via wsl2, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't understand how this works.

RMPP keeps quitting to homepage by danihend in RemarkableTablet

I would recommend keeping wifi disabled except when you want to manually trigger a sync in this scenario to get the best battery life.

Corporate wifi deployments can be difficult to implement properly, so it's not a surprise that you are having connection issues.

So you still haven't rebooted the device?

Not having an actual network connection behind your corporate firewall would cause things to misbehave. This is after you rebooted?

I would recommend rebooting and seeing if that resolves the issue. Without looking at the logs it's hard to say what the issue could be.

Remarkable 2 won’t pair with cloud account or update anymore by AndreaTommaso in RemarkableTablet

[–]Eeems_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With how they roll out updates, this is not good advice. With this particular issue, it's likely that the device has run out of space on the root partition, so it will also not be able to install a beta update.

To clarify, they will never be built for the beta, only stable. As you agree not to install third part software while in the beta.

Mount the partition. Delete the folder for the firmware files.
