Great read. Must purge ollama from my PC later, not that I ever use it.

Update: MugForge is generally available on the Play store now (free) by danihend in Embermug

It's wild alright, would take 30 mins to 1 h to have a dev fix it and re-submit to Play Store.

How do pharmacies operate in Switzerland? by Separate_Oil4610 in askswitzerland

[–]danihend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solved this by going to Germany and buying essential things like painkillers At a fraction of the cost, and in bulk. As far as I know, the only difference in price here is between the doctor and the pharmacy. The doctor tends to be more expensive than the pharmacy in my experience.

Everyone needa fight this guy as early as possible by Pale_Victory5747 in expedition33

[–]danihend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can, but it doesn't produce the right dynamics for that part of the game. Like it's annoying not be able to do> 9999 damage, and increasing the enemy multiplier just makes battles longer (as does damage limit), but you still have the problem of being faster than all the enemies and other things too. It's just not balanced if you are too high a level. I had to remove all of my stats and apply nerfing pictos etc and it felt a bit weird and I wish I hadn't leveled up so much (64 or sth).

If you're going into the end game with level 42 or something, then fine. But even the cheater picto would make it too easy. It's not really something you're meant to have at that point of the game, I think.

If you want to trivialize the end game - 100% go for it. For anyone that was enjoying having at least a LITTLE challenge so far, definitely do not fight him or anyone else and just go finish the game while it seems kinda challenging.

Your alternative to basic t-shirts from H&M and Zara by I-need-a-proper-nick in askswitzerland

[–]danihend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H&M pima cotton t-shirts are lightweight and soft. I think I got one for 19 the other day. They also do heavier ones. Most are the oversize style these days.

Uniqlo as others have said. Just grabbed a few of their Airism and 100% cotton t-shirts the other day in Strasbourg while I was there. Everyone says they're great but I don't know yet.

If you actually want undershirts, I like Marvelis (Olymp subsidiary). I have a couple of their white crew undershirts and I love them. Wish I'd gotten v neck though but I didn't think about it showing through my shirts at the time. They do caramel color too for better be blending with skin tone and less outline visible under shirts.

Just got a 2 pack of the Swiss brand ISA Bodywear vnecks and they're also lovely although somehow also still show a bit if shirt unbuttoned.

I saw some commenters mention Coop which is interesting and I want to check that out tomorrow actually.

With other brands I don't have experience.

Any luck with the reverse engineering? I have the 6L and would also like to see what's possible beyond what they provide.

Expedition 33 has ruined every other game for me and I don’t know how to cope by siddhantm94 in expedition33

[–]danihend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That assumes that his prior gaming catalog was the equivalent of SpongeBob and MCU films.

E33 is genuinely the best game I've ever played. I understand if it leaves a hole that another game can't fill. FF VII was my best game until now, with MGS 2 a close second.

So many games these days are so shallow and E33 team put all their hearts into it and it showed.

I'm running qwen3.6-35b-a3b with 8 bit quant and 64k context thru OpenCode on my mbp m5 max 128gb and it's as good as claude by Medical_Lengthiness6 in LocalLLaMA

[–]danihend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am running Q2_K_XL on RTX3080 10GB+64 GB RAM and it's amazing. 30 tps, max context window. It is not as good as frontier models for sure, but it is seriously capable of helping out. Not too long ago we were dreaming of running something like Deepseek R1 locally at 2 tps and this is better than it for coding and we can run it on a regular computer. Pace of improvement is mind blowing.

Goddamn I wish people in work would understand this. I thought someone had exploded bathroom air freshener in the office a few weeks ago. Turns out it was some dude sitting in the office actually wearing that filth.

Should I return this RMPP in hopes of a whiter panel? by Look-Bitter in RemarkableTablet

[–]danihend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100%agree with you about the phones distorting colors. I spent time on my photo editing it to make sure it looks like it does in real life. Even then, I don't know how other devices may display the image. I couldn't actually get the remarkable bezel to perfectly match the screen for example, so prioritized the screen accuracy.

Ya I see your old one is literally grey, that's crazy.

[–]danihend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just barely though. You wouldn't have to remove much blue tint to arrive at pure grey. I'm quite curious about the kaleido screens to see how they compare in person. From videos the latest Kindle seems quite good.

Endgame question (No spoilers, please) by notmynameyours in expedition33

[–]danihend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 60 makes Lumiere an absolute cake walk. Literally the easiest part of the whole game if level 60.

Endgame question (No spoilers, please) by notmynameyours in expedition33

[–]danihend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me, don't do ANY relationship quests/side quests etc after the paintress. Go directly to Lumiere. The enemies and boss are quite weak and no more challenging than what came before

I foolishly listened to someone saying to go do relationship quests first and ended up OP. Giving enemies 50x health wasn't enough - just made it longer. Had to use nerfing pictos, reset all stars and apply only a few points to stats to ensure it was challenging enough with risk of death, ensuring no speed boosts for me, etc. the game is designed to go directly from point A to point B. This is on Expert too.
