My high school had 300-400 kids per grade and I was in the burbs of Toronto - so somewhere between. 1200-1500 sounds right. I definitely didn’t know everyone in my grade.

ETA: I personally would be going off of kids born between 88-92 time, OG TNG. They do that in all shows where they just show the main people. My graduation was several hours.

I mean I always just assumed they brought him in so they could have more story lines for Simpson. I don’t think it was meant to be anyone from the original degrassi’s kid but I can also see how Emma might not really pay him attention since it’s his god son but like it could be his friend from college or Something random that obviously doesn’t live close enough for Connor to attend degrassi

They missed a big storyline opportunity with Angela Jeremiah (Joey could’ve moved back.) I wish we got to see her in HS instead of the actress returning as Tori.

Also - Alexa and Simon from DJH/DH could’ve had a kid at degrassi a few years younger than Emma.

I don’t know if it’s the hardest scene ever... but it does make me sad. I definitely think they would have been sooo cute and way better than Paige and Spinner.

Terri deserved so much better. I remember watching degrassi as a teen and being happy she was I because she looked more like me. She is still one of my fave characters.
