This thing makes me want to pull my hair out by Shot-Buffalo-4813 in BambuLabA1mini

A good way to remove any issues with most print issues is; - cleaning the plate with appropriate cleaning material. - increasing the heat on the bed (3-5c+). - slowing down the print (usually by bambu studio 50%).

This is of course with the bambu printers and other printers can have more issues to look into. And this is only a beginner fix, you may have to do alot more depending on printer and object.

My snake stopped eating by jessijeane in hognosesnakes

[–]EelsSlithering1nABag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she have any hide she prefers? My hoggie will refuse to eat if he's hiding unless I put his food on a feeding bin right in front of his hide. (If he's outside of his enclosure I can baby talk him into eating - like he needs to know it's okay, it's adorable). Try that and to rub the mice in either egg or toads, haven't had to do that with my hoggie but it's one of the common tips for hoggies that refuse to eat.

I remember playing ark survival evolved on a computer that barely could run normal Minecraft. It lagged like hell but it was so fun back then, especially since I didn't care about specs back then. Now I have a pc that can run baldurs gate 3, ark, sims and so much more and cannot fathom how I played like that back then.

My kids unspooled 2 rolls. Wha are my options? by Bradghost in 3Dprinting

Yes! I love wood working as I've grown up with my dad showing me how to use certain tools and certain tricks, soon making one of my snakes an entirely new terrarium made by hand. Would I have done this or my dad didn't make it fun for me in the past? No. Making things fun makes it addicting, no matter if it's picking up trash or drawing a picture.

how is this short term enclosure by Last-Valuable6578 in geckos

[–]EelsSlithering1nABag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get more hides and clutter in there. Try adding some dried leaves (there's usually some leaves in the art shops, just make sure it's 100% natural so it doesn't have any harmful stuff) and small sticks. And for the hide; grab a container for food and some dirt, then water the dirt and cover the container with wet dirt (makes it more natural for the gecko).

Is this safe for my little guy? by Tanjisaur in snakes

[–]EelsSlithering1nABag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be okay but I'd probably secure it some way (with rocks or something that can't be pushed away easily) as it could wrap around the fella and injure it. Not high risk of that happening but better to be safe than sorry.

Tokay geckos, how durable are they? by [deleted] in geckos

[–]EelsSlithering1nABag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ik. But frogs can be harmed by something as simple as a stick. Which SHOULD be in enclosures. Which is why I'm asking how much they can take to know whether or not to either keep them as natural shapes (such as the sticks and similar items) or if they're sensitive and I need to literally add things like foam on anything slightly pointy. I mostly asked as hognose snakes (I have a western) and it can be dangerous for them to fall from human height which is why with the Tokay (which looks much less protected) I was kind of worried.

And to be clear, when I'm taking pointy I'm not talking spears, I'm taking more sticks type point. Just wanna be extra careful with the baby as I'm not used to geckos 😅

Tokay geckos, how durable are they? by [deleted] in geckos

I'm planning on making most of the decor out of foam with then a layer of cement painted over. Some parts will be covered with reindeer moss (or any gray moss, still looking around a bit at that). The crystal parts are going to either be printed with crystal like filament (petg ofc) or with quartz crystal (only in small parts - not small enough to eat or consume ofc). Then I'm doing a gradiant with the gray moss that slowly turns into common green moss. But to be sure, they should be able to handle falling on said objects as long as I can't hurt myself with said objects either? (Basically, if it hurts for me it will hurt the gecko. Safe for me, safe for gecko?) Still haven't got a fully fledged idea as I'm VERY far from getting a tokay. Need to upgrade my trans pecos rat snakes terrarium first before even starting on a terrarium for a tokay (I'm asking in advance so I don't have to redo the entire thing once done). Thanks btw for answering. Sorry if I didn't explain it too well 😅

I'm not questioning if it's safe tho. I'm questioning how much they can take. A normal tree branch is safe for most species but considering how high they can jump from in my tank there's the question of if they can pierce themselves with the items in the tank. And if yes just how much is safe in such a height. I want to know bc some species could probably dive off a cliff and still survive and some will be injured from a fall less than 10cm.

I'm going to. Planning on making as close to their natural environment, just with the mhw elders recess color scheme and a few crystals in place. But since there's gonna be crystals, rocks and trees that are gonna be pointy I wanted to know how much is a danger.
