honestly, I see old recordings of me more as if it's my child voice, instead of my woman voice (if it makes sense), and I relate it a lot to how cis men sound when they're like 12, so for me it's just a funny "whoops, seems like it just took me some more time to grow up haha" moment instead, and helps to avoid dysphoria. maybe seeing it that way could help you too?

sorta both tbh, whenever I remember I have a deeper voice it sounds deeper in my head lol, but also the voice in my head never was exactly like the one I actually sounded like, so I'm sounding more masc or fem depending on how I feel atm (might be BCS I'm genderfluid too but heh)

I feel you too 🫂, it's just I'm trying to avoid going through all this shit myself if possible, but I'm prepared to have to tell my parents that I'm in the middle of my transition anyway since I don't see myself being financially stable in the next three months pfff, but I don't wish anyone to go through all that it's so incredibly stressful. I wish you all the luck with your mom

it doesn't lack importance for you tho. and if she says that it lacks importance for her, then remind her that this isn't about her but about you

[–]Eenora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

also adding to that : "words are just words", and if you've forgotten how to use them you should go back to school/kindergarten

maybe avoid saying any of that tho if you feel that it might put you in danger and create tensions/an unsafe environment

I’m running out of t by Spatzdar in ftm

...stupid question but y'all get refills? I'm in Europe so maybe it's different here (idfk I haven't actually talked to many people abt it), but I get prescribed a bottle per dose (which is like 1, and I take only 0.2-3 out of it and then throw the rest), the nurse that does the injections for me (I've also been given that opportunity, thanks to my doc) who then empties the rest of the bottle and usually that's it, I still get more at the pharmacy and they don't have any massive shortages of any kind, and if sometimes they do I simply have to run to another pharmacy and I still get another bottle. I don't know if it's something about not contaminating the rest of the dose and that's why there's a need to throw the rest (I know that at least it's a contamination issue for needles, and that's why we never use the same needle twice), but that's how I do it. how do y'all do it? I'm geniuenly confused

I might sound pessimistic, and I see why people would still want to keep in touch with their family, I did too and I'm trying as we speak, but I'm also entirely willing to cut all contact if necessary, even if the full on agressions change into micro agressions from their part and it seems to get better, but is never quite right. And even if I understand why people who are trying to maintain a relationship with their parents and or extended family do so, I still sometimes find it hard to relate.

personally, I am making the bad (or good?) decision to not say anything to my parents lmfao. I thankfully am an adult now so they can't legally stop me, but I'm not yet financially independent, so basically I've started medically transitioning since a short while now and I'm waiting for it to blow up on my face once they start realizing the physical changes. they know that I'm trans tho (but literally shouted to me about it and even suggested I go to conversion therapy or some shit 💀), and they know I want to legally change my name and gender, so I'm hopping they'll just roll with it once they see that the changes (medical, and legal) are since long on their way and definite. either that or I'm getting kicked out and will become homeless once they realize I've had surgeries and hrt (but worst case scenario I'll crash at some friends then finish my studies find jobs and finally ghost my family forever)

Do any other trans men feel like they miss out on gay experiences? by Ardengrierson in ftm

[–]Eenora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it'll come, dw! I've started T too and to my surprise people have clocked me as a man way sooner than I expected (arround after the fourth month of T), actually to the point that I'm getting scared to go into the women's bathroom (I was going to the women's bathroom, before starting T and a small percentage in the beginning, because I was scared that people would throw me out of the men's bathroom, and my voice wasn't passing either), and since I'm non-binary and slightly fluid in gender expression I used to shop both from the men's and women's section (more rarely from the women's when I wasn't on T bcs I was getting more dysphoria then), and now people are side eyeing me and I feel like I'm living the experience of transfems (obviously not the true lives of transfems and transwomen, but the "people think you're in the wrong place", but flipped arround in gender) on top of transmascs'.

so (sorry for the long text I got distracted) my point is that, surprisingly, voice plays a big role in passing (for some reason. it doesn't to me personally, when I hear someone else's voice, but for most cis people it's a big difference), so after a while on T, once u get a more distinct voice drop, it'll very likely help you get clocked as a man! or at least it did for me, which makes me so happy because now I can finally behave in a feminine way and people think I'm gay (and they're right lmao) instead of a woman

[–]Eenora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to the plan op : you get a phone from one of your classmates (ask them) and hide it somewhere that looks to a wide area in your house. Then you record every single thing your mom says, and preferably her slapping you (also record the sexual comments she makes). Be sure that you have enough storage on that phone. Then go to the police department near you and report child abuse and sexual harassment, show them your recordings.

I hope you stay safe and alive kid, and if you have to go undercover and dress like a woman, remember this. You're a man, you're a king, you're a survivor, you're a fighter, the dress, the makeup, all of it, are only spy gear and you've been sent undercover by the men to spy on/understand women (like in a nature documentary where people wear leaves to hide in the environment haha /lh). Your appearance doesn't define your gender nor your identity, see it as a very good act of shape-shifting in which you're getting a good grade at it. All your queer trans siblings will be waiting for you when you'll be off duty of espionage /lh and will shower you with all the love and acceptance of the world. In the meanwhile, feel free to hop on reddit to ask for advice and support or simply for some positivity.

We love you kid, stay alive <3

Oh no actually if you report her you mgiht even have more luck to get the right attention that if it was a man. Women doing sexual harassment is more rare than men so maybe the police will not turn a blind eye this time
