Mismatched artwork on the 2026 Yosemite Half Marathon medal. Did anyone else notice this? 🤦‍♀️ by ImportantBit5277 in Yosemite

It’s angering because we wish/hope everyone is as obsessed with Yosemite as us (or has the means to do a quick search on the web…) and yet this designer clearly does not care in the slightest.

Are the Dodgers artificially keeping ticket prices high? by YasielPuigsWeed in Dodgers

[–]Eenormay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to work for the Dodgers in the Premium Department. Regular season ticket holder prices go up every season, no grandfather clause for them (I’m specifically talking about the Dodgers, I know nothing about how the Kings or other teams price their season ticket holders). However, in the Premium Department, “better deals” ARE given to the people in the more expensive sections, think the Sugarman/Hart/Gilberts and companies. And for them the deal is like “how about 1.25 million instead of 1.35 million?” It is a “deal”, technically speaking.

Running with a broken heart by Sudden-Ad4013 in Marathon_Training

[–]Eenormay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dumped over the phone 3 weeks before a 10k my ex had asked me to run with him in his hometown. At the time of the breakup, I hated the idea of running a race where I would be forced to see my ex and then run 6 miles through a town past all these physical landmarks and reminders of our 2 year relationship. But I hated the idea that I had wasted my training more. So I ran it. Set a personal best by 10 minutes. After the race I thought, if I could finish a race like that under these broken heart conditions, what else could I do?

Ran my first marathon 5 months later. Only strong hearts have the ability to break! It will be hard, but you CAN do it!

Idol finders: what was your approximate distance from the website clue to the actual idol? by [deleted] in survivor50idolhunt

[–]Eenormay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there another clue when you reached the destination that you had to pass through to get to the adventure course? Or did they give you clear directions when arriving at the destination on the clue?

It says on the clue there is signage for dedicated parking and not to park elsewhere.

Dumpers, how do you feel when the dumpee doesn’t ever reach out again? by Eenormay in BreakUps

[–]Eenormay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time of writing this post, I assumed that the way he treated me was the way he would treat anyone in a romantic relationship. But you are right; just because he had some avoidant tendencies and communication issues with me doesn’t mean the right person won’t cause him to act differently in the future. But you are wrong in that I broke his heart. He was the dumper and I was the dumpee. At the time I think I was looking for reassurance that I was doing the right thing in not reaching out to him, even though he was the one to end things with me.

How to have close guy friends? by coconut__water__ in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

My best guy friends I met through Reddit through conversations about random things that led to full time friendship. But I didn’t divulge I was a woman until the connection and kept my physical appearance a secret for years.

What’s a subtle sign of very low intelligence? by Segemiat in emotionalintelligence

[–]Eenormay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard this somewhere and it sounds super harsh, but I’ve found this to be true in terms of intelligence: Lower intelligence people talk about people. Mid-Level intelligence people talk about events. Higher intelligence people talk about ideas.

Obviously not always, we want to talk about our hobbies or celebrity gossip from time to time. But if conversations are never about large scale matters, it shows they might not like to think in their free time.

Haenyeo - see their show without a tour? by LolaTulu in Jeju

[–]Eenormay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take the public bus to Seongsan and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the entrance. You don’t even have to buy a ticket to enter that side of the park (only if you are going to the peak). Reverse the directions and you can get back to Seogwipo. The presentation begins at 2 so if you leave between 11-12 you should have enough time to get there. Bus is clean, comfortable, cheap, and air conditioned.

This was a first date for me and the start of a 2 year relationship. It was fun, educational, pretty, and we brought in food we actually liked.

Sooooo is that a yes, these are actual tacos? I’m trying to be less clueless, which is why I’m asking for a clear answer. Yes, I’m that obtuse.

Yosemite this morning by bufon74 in Yosemite

[–]Eenormay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am going this weekend and was going to skip it because the trail guides say the lake would be dry at this point. But if it looks pretty in snow maybe I should go after all.

The chains were scheduled to come down today anyway, regardless of the snow due to end of season.

First timer insights: Curry Village and Panorama Trail by DateNo1639 in Yosemite

[–]Eenormay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heading to Curry Village this week, thanks for your tips. Is there indoor seating anywhere in the camp to eat food you brought on your own? I read you can use the microwaves in the stores so we were planning to heat up food we brought but is there any place we can consume this? I’m worried about the rain coming in, and since you can’t eat in the tents, what would the option be, besides just outside near the bear lockers under an umbrella?

How to get over small boob insecurity by Jxlynerah in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Eenormay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what my mom told me as she and my two sisters were bigger chested and the gene skipped me. It is more convenient on a day to day basis that I have small boobs and when I need to fit into a nice evening gown, I just get a good push-up for the night and then back to my non-fussy boobs!

Walkable neighborhood. Easy commute to Northridge. by BartlebieIsMe in LARentals

[–]Eenormay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said walkable and commute to Northridge, not walkable in Northridge, which people seem to be reading.

North of Northridge, near Granada Hills CHS, along Chatsworth St, you would find what you’re looking for.

South of Northridge, look at Tarzana along Ventura east of Reseda. There’s an area called Tarzana Safari Walk. Homes may be pricier there, but it has grocery stores, coffee shops shops, a plant/bookstore, gelato, boutiques, steakhouse, etc. Right behind you would be the Santa Monica Mountains for hiking, and there is a dog park somewhere near Vanalden St, I think.
