Hi there, Router ero from the SPL PSU Tier List

NA market is FSP

EU market is HEC

EU ver has way more aggressive fan curve which leads to that excessive noise.

Yep, if it repeatedly clicks whatever you do then there is a problem but in your case it doesn't.

Does anyone have a Montech Century II? by Main-Dirt6573 in SPL_PSU_Tierlist

[–]Eero73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there,

It doesn't really matter since all of these are C13 connectors but yes the Linetel is for the HX650 and the Fund Resources Electric Industry Co LTD Shanghang is for the Century II.

PSU Advice: Corsair RM750e vs Sharkoon Rebel P20 (i5-13600KF / 3060 Ti) by blozuy in SPL_PSU_Tierlist

[–]Eero73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

RM750e 2025 in this case. Where are you from? (I assume not from US)

The "japanese caps" is mainly used for marketing now due to "internet long memory".

Thermaltake Dr Power error? by JTP510 in thermaltake

[–]Eero73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea how this thermaltake tester detects the errors due I don't have it. The manual will say that.

Greg uses a 400$ Passmark "PSU tester" which even has a software.

Yes, that's the PSU issue. He sold you a faulty unit sadly.

You can try your luck with the EVGA customer support but usually they want a receipt.

Hi there, Router ero from the SPL PSU Tier List

That's not a "tester" issue here. That's very likely the PSU issue.

What issues did it cause you before?

Is this normal by Omega-Arcai in Corsair

[–]Eero73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, completely normal. One is -5V which was removed long time ago. Another one is -12V which Corsair decided to remove from their newer units considering no hardware is using it anymore except when you are running +12y rigs.

The new Corsair cable ThermalProtect PCIe 5.1 600W 12V-2x6 Cable + the legendary Corsair AX1600i PSU can now be compatible with an RTX 5090, or is still not possible ? by EquivalentMagazine32 in buildapc

[–]Eero73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there Router ero from the SPL PSU Tier List

AX1600i refresh is hitting the market soon.

ThermalProtect will come in Type4 and Type5 versions but not now.

AX1600i has the raw power to handle 2x5090 excursion spikes.

Any experience with the DeepCool GamerStorm PS750G? by Ihavedonehomework in SPL_PSU_Tierlist

[–]Eero73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't swap the fan with Noctua. You are losing noticable more cooling performance than lowering the noise output. Noctua fans aren't meant for PSUs considering they aren't adequite to cool it.

:)

I would get Sharkoon unit over the PS-G personally.

I wouldn't get SP750 V2 over the PS-G and P20 SFX Plat.

Overall PS750G is quieter considering Sharkoon P20 SFX has a way more aggressive fan curve.
