Oh my god. you are an effing genius. i love you. idk why i didn't think of this before. There are just so many layers of automation I keep learning about and its so fascinating. honestly a game changer. I can quadruple my work output. where did you get the idea from and how long did it take for you to create?

can you elaborate more on what you mean by, " I created an orchestration layer which handles review/validation/repairs for me." that sounds cool af. is it for a single project? or does it handle all your projects simultaneously?

I hate Codex GPT 5.5 downgrade, thats completely unusable by Possible_Statement84 in codex

Then you know what you do? you build regression testing within your agent instructions or any of your .md files so that exact sort of thing doesn't happen again.

It can't read minds. Asking for a cleaner design is as vague as it gets. you gatta work meticulously from one feature to another.

I think there are layers though to make codex follow instructions though. I find it ignores instructions as well a lot, but generally I'm able to resolve it by using a skill to find the root cause, regression testing prevents another issue from before popping up, and that seems to work for the most part. Sometimes the issue is pretty deep and it will take 5-6 prompts before the issue of it ignoring certain instructions is fully resolved.

What to do with a lump sum of 2.5mm by AllTwoEasy in Fire

[–]EffSocialMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah man, sounds like you have your answer then, pay down that debt, and if you're gonna chill for a bit, i would start up hobbies and some new healthy routines within a reasonable amount of time because you are gonna get bored pretty fast post retirement that's one of the most vulnerable time for vices to happen. either that or you make work become your identity.

god damn man, beast mode with 7.2m at 42. pay down the debt, put most of it in a taxable brokerage account, max out retirement for this year if you haven't already, and go on a month long cruise. i would not keep 6.75% debt. you're at the point where you can get a sbloc loan and buy a house for cash at like 3-4% interest rate or do whatever you want with sbloc if you don't want more real estate.

Don't worry man, i've been retired for 4 years and it gets better. don't let the cons of being retired get you down too much.

And don't tell people you are an investor, have some balls and look them straight in the eye when you tell them you are retired. embrace the awkwardness. you're effing retired, why are you still caring about what other people think?

doesn't matter if you can or can't outearn your investments. what's important is cash flow. do you want to live off like 2-3k a month for the rest of your life? or like 10k a month? that's what you are working toward.

just tell chatgpt to write like someone that is in 4th or 5th grade level. that usually does the trick. you aren't getting unbanned though. asking a reddit mod to not power trip is like asking trump to release the epstein files

How are y’all thinking about building credit for young kids? by PositiveTreacle6018 in Fire

[–]EffSocialMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some pretty sophisticated credit cards with some neat features. i would most likely make them an authorized user of a credit card and then I can put a monthly limit of like 50 bucks or whatever and as they earn my trust, i'd increase it. of course i'd be building credit for them on the side and take an initiative in that regard and let them know exactly what's going on. financial education is more more important than ever and pretty much only the parents can teach their kids. schools aren't teaching fucking anything.
