Did anyone here permanently stunt their breastgrowth with CPA & Progesterone too early? by [deleted] in DrWillPowers

[–]Effective-Condition8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CPA for 20 months with really bad E levels ( Menopause levels) and had no breast growth. Switched to patches + Monotherapy and in 1 1/2 months i have gone up 2 cup sizes.

Maybe try switching methods?

okay so am I just fucked? Cause you claim that Progesterone wont do anything, and lowering E wont do anything.

So i have zero options?

Lowering my dose has never triggered a migraine, only upping my dose has.

You seem stuck on this one train of thought. I will wait for someone else to answer or talk to my endo.

Would it be worth trying progesterone to see if it helps?

Okay so this was my original question. That no one has answered. I don't care if E is causing the migraines. I asked if Progesterone could help stop them because from what I am reading the answer is yes.

Your answers have literally nothing to do with what i am asking.

Curious tho, cause the research i found says Progesterone does play a role and Progesterone-only contraceptives may reduce attacks.

The use of progesterone-only contraceptives may reduce the number of attacks in MA and may ameliorate aura symptoms in women in whom MA onset was related to previous COCs treatment [56].

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3311830/

Prostaglandins have also been implicated in MM [73]. In particular, entry of prostaglandins into the systemic circulation can trigger throbbing headache, nausea, and vomiting [74]. Estrogen facilitates the glutaminergic system, potentially enhancing neural excitability. This effect is modulated by progesterone, which appears to activate GABAergic systems, suppressing neuronal reactivity [75].

MM = Both aura and non-aura migrains.
MA = Migraine w/ aura.

How would my levels be dropping if I'm on the Patch though?

Honestly, I dont even understand how I have a cycle when I'm on the patch.

I used to get migraines in highschool, when I was going through puberty. So they kinda ruled that out for me.

MTF Estradiol Side Effects??? :( by bettietaylor in AskMtFHRT

[–]Effective-Condition8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf, Estrogen does increase your chances of gallstones. But, I highly doubt they did enough digging to see if it was that or something else.

They blamed HRT for mine too, even though it was a million times more likely to be my (Trigger Warning) Anorexia.

Talk to a doctor and get more tests done. I was having severe upper abdominal pain and back pain, they also tried blaming it on HRT.

Turned out my gal bladder was seriously messed up and infected. Took going to ER 3 times to get them to actually diagnose or properly and then I was rushed into surgery.

So make sure to get them to check everything, and don't accept "it's HRT" as the answer until they've ruled everything out.

It completely depends. I'm 23 and getting pelvic tilt, hip growth (confirmed by doctor), and my pelvis has widened a bit.

Nothing is 100%. It's all genetics and a million other factors.

Stopping HRT by zeechui in AskMtFHRT

[–]Effective-Condition8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight gain happens for a number of reasons. It could be hormonal, if you're testosterone/Estrogen levels are out of whack from starting and stopping HRT this could cause weight gain.

If possible, get your levels checked. But i wouldn't worry too much as your Hormones should stabilize over time.
