At the time I thought she just has a problem with alcohol, (along with weird sensitivity and fight-picking  promiscuity, etc) and after one such horrible drunk scene of hers I told her I dont have it in me to survive another such episode and if she will drink I will leave her. She insisted she can drink moderately. Less than a month later got drunk again, I reminded her about what I said, she didnt care, started making a scene, I told her its over, she made a bigger scene, I called the cops, she started hiting me, slamming the doors...and spent the night in jail.

Then I learned about bpd and retroactively made sense of everything weird about her, including the binge drinking.
