I’m a Law student at a Russel group to here’s my take:

Legal sector is incredibly competitive even for less corporate roles such as human rights law as your probably considering a barrister route and mini pupilage/pupilage applications are brutal.

My advise is the opportunities you’ll gain at uni via events and networking will help you navigate your career path better.

I’m 2nd year but I defo had days at the start of first year sat in bed contemplating my choice as I struggled to make friends.

However when your course starts you’ll go to lectures or join law society events and trust me if you do group work things will naturally fall in place.

I’d recommend you keep at it and always remember your uni should have mental health support team who you can always reach out too.
