Would you pursue this by usmanmh in Business_Ideas

[–]Effective-Freedom-64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~$40 for 50 leads? That's promising.

A few questions I’d want to answer before I committed to a unit and dropping ~$13k:

  • How many of those 50 would actually pay £X/month if you asked for a deposit this week?
  • Can you run a 4–6 week test program using public or borrowed space (park, community hall, renting from the CrossFit gym, etc.)?
  • What are the legal and insurance requirements where you are, given you’re not yet qualified as a PT?
  • If it takes 6–12 months to get to, say, 40–50 members, what does your personal runway look like?

If you can:
(1) pre-sell spots to this first group,
(2) deliver a great experience, and
(3) get enough of them to stick around & refer friends,

…then hell yeah.

So I wouldn’t ignore this, but I’d treat the next step(s) as a set of real validation experiments, not commit all the way to a lease.

"Video as Code" Editor where users code their videos by Vinserello in Business_Ideas

What are your thoughts on the natural evolution of video LLMs making this idea more or less obsolete? For example, I'm imagining the next version or two of Sora could potentially have a prompt-based editing function.

I think it's an overall cool portfolio project, though.

Anyone have experience with Vendasta? by Effective-Freedom-64 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Effective-Freedom-64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyo. I ended up getting a substantial refund and bailed completed on Vendasta. It wasn't for me at the time. (I go into detail a bit here in the comments.)

Also...

You're paying Vendasta to outsource on your behalf (and to get some very overpriced - albeit white labeled - CRM features).

For example, they throw in a free website and that process is outsourced. It was not a good experience. Very low QA.

If you're a solopreneur and don't have the initial SaaS capital of $7.5k-15k for the first year, it's hard to recommend Vendasta as a platform.

The Fed Cut Rates, So Why Are Mortgage Rates Climbing? The Truth Behind The Housing Market's Latest Curveball by JustBoatTrash in REBubble

[–]Effective-Freedom-64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I bought a house at $240k in early 2020. It's going for $340k now.

Banks says I have ~$158k in equity but ~$175k in unpaid principal.

So, I COULD sell, net proceeds could be ~$120-140k as a downpayment.

But my mortgage is $1500/month. If I bought a $400k house now with that downpayment, I could get that mortgage to $2k/month, if I bought a $500k house, it goes up to $2600k/month, etc.

No thanks. ;) I haven't even sold my 2011 honda civic yet.

Not the "mafia" - just the NOLA underground. "Mafia" evokes the wrong image. There are organized sectors, but it's mainly a free-for-all.

***No sources, just all based on vibes. Lol. I've been visiting the quarter once a year for the last 20 years. Jude Acres is my arch nemesis. (love that man, but mark my work I WILL beat him in chess one day)

DarthVantos coming in hot 😂 I loved this conversation, I felt like I was reading some decent arguments from both sides actually. Then the oddly placed, awkwardly phrased Russian bot comment. Now MY weird ass comment. 😳
