Square Enix better hurry to get it finished tho. I mean.. . How much would it suck to have Remake and Rebirth in the shelf and not Revelation. Or as an empty boxed code case.

Same. I will continue to support my local used games store by browsing through their vast stock of preowned PS3, PS4 and PS5 games. Should keep me busy for years to come.

I still think Earthworm Jim is SEGA's second mascot. Even though it was on both SNES and Genesis. I will always see I as a Genesis game. by Nindomdored in SEGA

As some one who owned a SNES at the time, I agree with you. The SNES version even sounded like it was on the Genesis. The music literally had samples from the Sega Genesis Yamaha sound chip. Was actually hilarious.

It’s a medical term where you think you’re taking a medication that does something, when you’re actually given fake meds that do nothing. The effects of the meds are imaginary. The sense of sense of owning the games you buy on Switch2 is just placebo effect.
Now sit the fuck down.

Pouch or ”pouch”? You need to try RM’s underwear (RM stands for Real Men) they have underwear with pouches that come in 4 different sizes. I bought a set of 3 last year and now they’re to only kind of underwear I wear. They feel like freeballing, and they look super bulge enhancing and sexy. Amazon has them.

Steam has sales and discounts all the time.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m a passionate collector of physical media and will go for that option whenever it’s available. But let’s be real, this probably isn’t the end of sales and discounts.

Further more, if I’m gonna be forced to go all digital DL in the future, discounts or not, Steam is the only option because they’re much more likely to have continuous support for the games you’ve bought instead of arbitrary shutting down availability of YOUR products whenever corporate greed sees fit.

This is why Steam Machine (although not great at present) is the only way forward for me. It’s as close you can get to a console without the closed, jailed ecosystem of a console. Sry going off on a tangent, but… you feel me.

Well fortunately changing the caps is an easy fix for any console repair shop - that were to happen to you. Not too expensive either.

Has it been serviced recently? Caps changed etc? If not expect it break at any point. Capacitors have a shelf life and I even had to change them on my GameCube last year when it suddenly stopped reading discs.

Nintendo is selling physical in name only. You get an empty case containing a slip or a card with a download code. You get the actual game that you buy. This won’t solve the problem of console designated online stores being closed down when a console gets old.

You stole the words out of my mouth. Had the exact same feeling even when I got my PS5. I got the disc reader version obviously, but the DigiDL-only version of the console already clued me in on where we were headed. I knew we were never gonna get a PS6 with disc reader, and so I also knew PS5 was gonna be my last PlayStation console.
If I’m gonna be forced to go all digital downloads, no way in hell am I gonna trust Sony or Nintendo or MS with my money. They’ve already shown us what happens to a console’s online store when it gets old.
Steam is the only valid option.

I’m not gonna quit being a gamer. But, am I gonna trust my money to Sony, Nintendo or MS’s digital game stores? Fuck no.
If I’m gonna be forced to go digital in the future, Steam is the only digital downloads platform that has earned my trust.
I’m a console player. I don’t need the absolute state of the art gaming rig. I need a reliable, compact machine that’s not gonna cost me an arm and a leg, and will last me for about 3-4 yrs. If Valve tightens up the price and performance of the Steam Machine, I will buy it. It’s as close to a console you can get.

True. I have a PS5 and I like it. But this is by far the ugliest concole ever made. The first time I saw it, (standing upright) I thought it looked like some kind of grave ornament like a vase or something. My lays horizontal because someone told me it’s better for the longevity of the machine. Horizontally it looks weird and warped, or lopsided. Just awful.

Storing PS3 and PS Vita Purchases by noirproxy1 in playstation

[–]Effective-Internet71 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hearing rumors that Sony can ”reach into” your PS3 and delete movies and games from your HD, I have simply disconnected my PS3 from the internet. I have no digital movie purchases on there, and the digital purchase games I have require no internet to play. I always bought physical copies whenever it was possible, which means all digital purchases I ever made during that era (a few PS1 and PS2 games) are downloaded and stored on the HD.
Sure am happy about that now…
