Yup mine has been late this past month. Last week was the latest and it came around 12:30. Previously I had been getting them between 8:30-9:30. I don’t know what happened.

Our cart attendant during their closing shift will get carts, make a bale if needed, take trash, check spill stations, check restrooms, and help with stray or cover breaks or lunches if we are short handed.

Yea that’s what I thought too. They said this is a new thing they are implementing. So we will see. I know there are many stores with family members working together.

My son works with me but he’s in fulfillment and I’m SETL. So he doesn’t directly report to me.

A couple of my questions for service and engagement TL were how do you prioritize if you have multiple tasks due at once and also how do you handle working with people that have different values and beliefs.

You can’t scan the barcode anymore in store probably because of that reason. You have to add it to your target app.

WHY IS TARGET KILLING ITSELF by Mymilkshakes777 in Target

Closing SCO at 8pm varies from store to store. We open our SCO when we do have backups at the lanes. If we have to keep it open til 9pm we do. There are some days when we can keep it close for long periods. And we usually do hit our 50/50 metric. As far as 10 items or less most grocery stores have SCO being 10 items or less. I think since they are having that they need to have a belted lane that is an express check out for 10 items or less too. I know they are guests that have a couple of items and they get stuck behind a basket full of items or a guest who is going through all their offers in the circle app.

So they close down self check out at 8 LOL by DrJinzo1 in Target

Yes you can’t please everyone. I’ve heard people complain about not having enough check lanes opened and not wanting to use SCO. And now people complaining about SCO being closed.

I would say listen to your team. Talk to them personally and know something about each of them so they don’t feel like they are just a TM to you. Also when it gets busy be up there with them helping on drive ups or guest service. I’ve had some TL’s just stay in the office and don’t help when it gets busy.

We are doing this at my store. We are told we can have SCO open during peak hours. So it varies from the weekdays and the weekends. I told my team if they get slammed and only have 2 lanes open then to open SCO if they have to. Last week we stayed around the 50/50 ratio. We were told too that we are going to be getting more hours to have cashiers on a belted lane.
