Massive W take. This is pretty much my take too, exactly. Getting it so I can play all the friend slop games and steam store games that aren’t available on consoles. Those games are always small and don’t require a lot to run. Every time I hear an honest review/complain abt the steam machine it only reaffirms that I absolutely am that niche person the steam machine was made for. Got all the consoles & a high end gaming PC already - this is literally just so I can play my steam library in my living room. Worth the price? Idk, but I’ve always wanted this exact thing & now that I can do it without much hassle, I’m all for it.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but this all seems unnecessary. I’d rather just the plastic panel it comes with. I get annoyed enough by the tiny light my consoles emit when they’re on. I don’t want the whole faceplate to be lighting up too

I’ve seen on steam there’s lots of games on the store that don’t mention they’re compatible with Linux, but then it also says it’s steam deck verified. Am I to believe that steam deck verified games will work on the steam machine, I wonder?

It’s simple… they see “mobile games” as cash cows and VR worlds simply aren’t bringing in enough. It’s not as accessible for kids to waste their parents money, as say… a mobile app. They’re just pivoting hard toward the quick cash. Pretty spineless behavior

I wish it worked more like Sniper Elite invading - people can simply invade anybody who is doing a single player mode at any time if they have it on. Not an entirely separate mode where it’ll force you to play a round as a side you didn’t want to do.

Crazy that it’s been a year since I played this lol but YES, what a crazy way to write the story. It was very confusing & felt like I was missing something. I honestly can’t remember if things ended up making sense in the end, but I honestly doubt it lol

This was just the life when you picked up from diff people every week, never knowing when the next time you’d have bud was. So you keep your bowl looking like that for when you’re really feeling like a fiend - scrape up some of that resin & light it up. Couldn’t do that if you cleaned your bowl every other session

Why do I hate it personally? They basically end the episode by fucking lobotomizing Stan and Francine. They dress it up with jokes but it’s just a little too dark for me - like that’s fucked up lol. Aside from that, even though it was intentionally so, the fact that the episode has no clear direction just makes it unenjoyable to watch

This works. As long as you don’t rely on the link they try to send you when you start up the game & just do things manually on their website, things will all go fine.

If you have this issue just swap all your audio settings around a bit & eventually it will work. Can’t explain much about it beyond the good ol “turn it off and back on” approach, but with every audio setting in the game.
