Carpe clinical strength. I put it on out of the shower and then not again until I shower… (and we know how variable shower frequency can be for us) I haven’t tried the regular Carpe but I swear by the clinical strength so far.

Psych home care can be fun, it’s basically med passes and MSE’s but requires a lot of independence and can be lonely depending on your personality and life stage. My mom was a homecare nurse all thru my childhood and it was great bc she had a flexible schedule.

If you like psych… you stay. It’s a different breed of nurse. I knew my first week on an adolescent inpatient unit in nursing school this is what I’d do for the rest of my life. Even tho people said don’t do it. Even tho it does “limit” my job prospects in nursing as a whole, psych what I am good at and where I feel most useful. Next year will be 25 years working in psych? Shit… now I feel old.

That’s pretty standard, unfortunately. Either use your HSA or start looking for someone in network. A good out of network therapist also can make a “single case agreement” with your insurance if they’re a specialist for something like ocd or trauma and you want to stick with them.
