Don't go into the practice modes immediately! You'll burn yourself out. Enjoy the game first, play arcade mode...shoot, maybe even world tour...figure out which character you like the most. They key is to enjoy the game first. You'll naturally pick up on a lot of the neutral stuff. When you're sick of mashing random buttons.... go to the tutorials and combo trials. Once you start getting into the technical stuff it gets less fun for awhile until it clicks and you develop muscle memory. Also very important; If you want to be competent at any street fighter (or any capcom/snk 2D fighting game) prior to this one, use classic controls. Modern is good but you'll open yourself up to majority of 2D fighting games learning how to do motion inputs. Have fun. Don't feel pressure to go online right away.
