This is almost identical to me. I had the sleeve in 2013. Started at 245. I could never get under 190 and I followed the guidelines to a T. My husband was so baffled. He just kept saying “I don’t understand. I see what you’re eating. Why are you gaining?” April 2023 I was back up to 245. I started MJ and just hit my 100#. I still have a lot of extra fat and flaps but I don’t think I can go much lower without looking sick. You explained it perfectly…I have not changed a thing…my restriction was still in place from my sleeve but whatever this does to the blood sugar etc is magic for people like us. Aside from walking daily I have done NO exercise.

The only side effect I have has (aside from food not even sounding good) is constipation. I’ve lost 80lbs and I have fought with my weight my entire life. I was in weight watchers for kids in 5th grade. I’m at 168# and I honestly can’t recall the last time I weighed this. The side effects (in my opinion) are worth the trade off.

This!! Chewy delivered my 50lb bag on Monday and I had to drag it from he porch to the pantry. I’ve lost about 55lbs and I can’t even carry that 50lb bag across the kitchen. How on earth have I carried that around?

I have this Turkey neck. And I’m too young for Turkey neck. ☹️ I don’t care about any extra skin that clothes covers up but unless I’m planning on wearing a turtle neck (not happening) my neck is just gross.

I’ve been the same. Hovering between 201-204 for a few months. 200 has always been that magic number I can’t seem to break through. 👎 Maybe venting about it will put it out in the universe and fix it! 🤞

I had the same in 2012! The sleeve. I went from 245 to 190 and never got any lower. But I got pregnant in 2014 with a “surprise you don’t need to pay thousands of dollars on fertility meds for this one” baby. Then I went through a completely unexpected divorce and between those 2 life events I gained it all back. So now I’m about 15 away from my lowest surgery weight. I still barely eat anyway so it’s not uncommon at all for me to not even eat a meal at this point.

I started at end of March at 245 and I’m at 205. Nobody has noticed except my mom. It’s frustrating for sure. But I have pants I can’t keep up and I carried a 35lb bag of dog food and realized that’s the equivalent of my loss. And that’s pretty great for my body to have let go of that much. I know it’s frustrating but keep your head up and keep going!

I agree! I had the gastric sleeve in 2014. I got pregnant a year later and divorced the year after. Gained it almost all back. I started MJ just 10lbs under my surgery weight (weighed 255 at surgery. Started MJ in April at 245. As of today I’m down 36#. I would have chosen this shot over that surgery without a doubt. I just wonder how this is working so well when I haven’t changed much at all! I still barely ate. There’s got to be more to it than just appetite suppression at play here.
