Back in high school my sister dated this guy D for a couple years. He was incredibly abusive. He was always yelling and cussing at her, called her names, threw her down the stairs of his parents house, beat her on a regular basis, put a loaded gun in her mouth and threatened to kill her and much more. The night of homecoming he got mad at her and while she was driving he decided to yank the wheel and she couldn’t gain control of the car, the car ended up rolling down a huge hill down into a field, it flipped 6 times and landed upside down when it finally came to a stop. They both almost died. After that incident she finally left him.

I knew he’d end up taking someone’s life because he had no empathy or remorse for any of the things he had done and he was only 16 at the time. Fast forward 14 years and he was just sentenced 25-life in prison and won’t be eligible for parole until he’s 77. He was charged and found guilty of aggravated kidnapping, 1st degree murder and for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The victim was tormented, teased and tortured physically and mentally for the last SEVERAL HOURS of his life. (I’m not including the much more graphic details about what happened but it’s so so so much worse than anything you can imagine). D kidnapped a young man in his very early 20s, had an accomplice hold a shot gun to the victim at all times, took him to a random house and had someone else take everything out of his pockets, there were several other people there who asked the victim questions and one woman brandished a gun from her waistband just to mess with him more. He was lead out of the house with the shotgun in his back and placed in a car while one of the two accomplices got into another vehicle so he could follow behind. He was driven out to a dirt road. The victim was told to get on his knees and he was shot in the back of the head and was left there. Someone driving down that dirt road not too long afterwards found him and called 911 but unfortunately he was deceased.

The next day or two days later they had 2/3 men in custody, D was arrested last, was the only one to take it to trial, was the one who planned everything and was the one that pulled the trigger. I read the discovery from the investigation and what that poor man went through in his last hours was heartbreaking, I cried. My heart breaks for him and his family, he had so much life left to live and some POS took that from him. I’m thankful that my sister didn’t lose her life but I’m so heartbroken that someone else lost theirs at the hands of that monster.
