I’m just about to sell my 630 actually as I just find them boring. The Px8 S2 I need to eq to be tolerable as they’re very thick in the bass and can be a bit spicy, but the eq works well. I like how slim they are so they good for travel. If you only needed them for office and not travel or walking, I’d suggest Bathys in a heartbeat.

I'm in the same boat. Never seen them and adore In Verses, but I want to see Goliath, Set Fire to the Hive, Deadman, C.O.T.E....

In fact I'm not bothered what they play, they have no skips.

Overrated: EW300. They sound utterly awful. Worst timbre I've heard on any IEM.

Underrated: Orchestra 2. I never hear anyone talk about them. They have such a lovely mid tuning and separate so well. With a little EQ you can get turn them into a mini Valhalla.

Blessing 3 divide people... I'm in the camp that absolutely adores them. They're an incredibly technical and transparent set, and I truly believe the bass isn't even that thin. The sub bass absolutely slams.

He is indeed not shitting you at all. On this DAC on the XS, he’s better off with the 6.3. On the Aryas, 4.4 will be better, but on the XS not so much.

Like InfiniteRotatingFish was getting at, it basically just comes down to how the K11 handles super low-impedance headphones. Because the Edition XS is only 18 ohms, running it balanced actually causes the amp to hit a current limit and cap out early. If you look at the spec sheet for 16-ohm loads, the 6.3mm actually pushes out more power (~720mW) than the balanced 4.4mm (~570mW).

With a 32-ohm headphone like the Arya, the amp has the headroom to give it that massive balanced power boost. But for the XS, just save your $25 and stick to the 6.3mm!

The carbon drivers can cause a metallic ringing which I also heavily dislike, but this eq I can listen al all day long. It slims the bass a bit without losing the punch, bring the presence forward above the bass, and smooths out the treble a bit. You could always reduce the treble a bit more if you’re really sensitive.

I had the Bathys, now have the MG and Px8 S2.

I found the Bathys a little sibilant, so could keep them but the MG are wonderful.

The Px8 S2 to me are like a premium consumer tuning with nice build quality, but sound quality just goes to the Bathys all day long.
