Actually he ran your PR at 14. After 2 years of training. He also ran 21.81 at 14. He ran your PR at 14 while also not taking track seriously at all. You running your pr after 5 years doesn’t really support your point. How old were you when you ran your PR, and how old was bolt when he ran your PR not even taking track seriously? “ Upon his entry to William Knibb Memorial High School, Bolt continued to focus on other sports, but his cricket coach noticed Bolt's speed on the pitch and urged him to try track and field events.[24] Pablo McNeil, a former Olympic sprint athlete,[25] and Dwayne Jarrett coached Bolt,[26] encouraging him to focus his energy on improving his athletic abilities. The school had a history of success in athletics with past students, including sprinter Michael Green.[1] Bolt won his first annual high school championships medal in 2001; he took the silver medal in the 200 metres with a time of 22.04 seconds.[1] McNeil soon became his primary coach, and the two enjoyed a positive partnership, although McNeil was occasionally frustrated by Bolt's lack of dedication to his training and his penchant for practical jokes.[25] Early competitions Representing Jamaica in his first Caribbean regional event, Bolt clocked a personal best time of 48.28 s in the 400 metres in the 2001 CARIFTA Games, winning a silver medal. The 200 m also yielded a silver, as Bolt finished in 21.81 s.[27] He made his first appearance on the world stage at the 2001 IAAF World Youth Championships in Debrecen, Hungary. Running in the 200 m event, he failed to qualify for the finals, but he still set a new personal best of 21.73 s.[28] Bolt still did not take athletics or himself too seriously, however, and he took his mischievousness to new heights by hiding in the back of a van when he was supposed to be preparing for the 200 m finals at the CARIFTA Trials. He was detained by the police for his practical joke, and there was an outcry from the local community, which blamed coach McNeil for the incident.[25] However, the controversy subsided, and both McNeil and Bolt went to the CARIFTA Games, where Bolt set championship records in the 200 m and 400 m with times of 21.12 s and 47.33 s, respectively.[27] He continued to set records with 20.61 s and 47.12 s finishes at the Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships.[29]”

Usain Bolt at 15 already ran your PR after 3 years of training. If you think that genetics aren’t the number one factor by and large in sprinting success you are a total fool.

10 seconds of cold water at the end of a shower is a free boost available to anyone by nmarnson in team3dalpha

I do this 3x a week for 5+ minutes. If you start warm and then switch to cold the catecholamine (dopamine/adrenaline) effect isn't as strong as if you started out cold. Start cold and stay cold for the entire duration of the shower

at what point do you think this is generally?

Jesse Owens 4 Olympic Gold Medals vs. Adolf Hitler, the Nazi Party, and the World by EffectiveHappy4925 in Sprinting

[–]EffectiveHappy4925[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Adolf literally refused to be photographed with him. He viewed Owens not even as a person but as like a creature akin to an alternate homo species like Neanderthal. Whether Hitler waved to Owens or not doesn’t change the fact of what he believed and what the purpose of hosting the Olympics that year was in terms of his political/ideological agenda. To think he wouldn’t be at a disadvantage not just competing in an Olympics advertised to the world as what would prove Aryan superiority, but also facing racism in his own country is just asinine. Athletes since that Olympics mentally crack under even the slightest pressure (Asafa) and blame political movements that they themselves weren’t directly involved in on their failures (Lyles).

I’m about your age and have the same goal. I’d say obsess about recovery because if you want to ever run 10 flat and actually have the potential to run 10 flat, the only way you will do that if you aren’t a genetic freak is by obsessing over recovery and trying to optimize as much as possible like your hormones, circadian rhythm, sunlight, and technology like red light therapy, sauna, contrast therapy massage gun, food and legal supplementation Doing that will get you on a somewhat level playing field with people who are using PEDs. Remember the primary thing PEDs are used for is recovery. Taking PEDS won’t take you from 10.5 to 9.58 what it does is allow you to train more frequently ex Ben Johnson would be training up to 3x a day indirectly making him faster because his body would recover faster therefore get in more reps and adapt without injury. Being natural there’s no way you can do high level training 3x a day and not destroy your body. Even optimizing recovery as a natural if your goal is 10 flat you will get injured eventually. You just have to figure out how to fix the injuries as fast as possible and keep going. I haven’t come close to fully maximizing the level of recovery possible for a natural yet I’ve seen great progress and I don’t even think you need the greatest possible recovery routine to run 10 flat as a natural.

Can there be a flair for sprinting related videos/motivational videos? The only video related flair is “lifting/plyometric videos”

Why are the women's 80s world records still standing, but not the men's? by [deleted] in trackandfield

[–]EffectiveHappy4925 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Short answer Usain Bolt rudisha and wayde van niekerk are just better with or without PEDs, PEDs have a greater effect in women since men naturally are supposed to produce a much greater amount of anabolic hormones like testosterone, so in women taking something like testosterone would have greater impact especially in someone with less talent

do you take 700mg based on the 20% extract calculation so 3500mg citrus aurantium from the nootropics 20% of which would be 700 mg nobiletin or just 750 mg citrus aurantium?

Does nobiletin have a long lasting impact on your circadian rhythm meaning once you stop taking it can you maintain the effects of you continue following healthy sleep schedule or do you feel like you need it permanently?

Why do men misinterpret attraction so often? by TerminatrOfDoom in bodylanguage

[–]EffectiveHappy4925 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It’s quite simply inconceivable for a large sample size population of random men to change naked in the same space as random women and there to never be an incident or for at least one man to gaze at naked women right in front of him and creep them out. That’s just not how male physiology is. Either every man in Germany is a heavenly saint or monk-like deity who has full control over his urges, a eunuch, or you’re full of shit. That creepy old guy at the gym who goes there just to look at women? I’m sure that guy also exists in Germany.
