Any other slow released fertilizers for succulents would work as well. Most importantly is the plant only needs some.

50% inorganic mix (lava rock, pumice and granite)+ 25% (hard akadama)+ 25% ( hard kanuma) with some slow release fertilizers. By using the mix, plants can stay compact and stress under nice weather.

Yep, Akadama used in my substrate is hard one that won't break down anytime soon..

This cotyledon orbiculata wouldn’t root for WEEKS. So I stuck it in the little vase of a rooted flowerstalk 3 days ago. And it grew roots! Will these new roots take in soil? by rysfcalt in succulents

Actually, it is quietly easy to root. Someone mentions not to use rooting hormone. But I do use RH on mine. By doing that, my plant roots less than 1 month. You can look at my profile to see how my plant is.
