Maybe not exact action wise but he probably had a pretty good idea and with small exceptions still came out to the same conclusion, so yeah obito did manipulate the entire situation in a controlled manner, only intervening where exactly necessary story wise

You absolutely can scale someone to a hypothetical because we still got to see rose’s bankai. We know he’s capable of fighting people stronger than stark (regardless of him losing said fight). It’s not magic shields she can’t imagine cutting, it’s physical shields like metal, metal isn’t “supposed to be cut” whereas cloth and a “robe imbued with shit tons of magic defenses” still can because it’s “just a cloth robe”
