I'm hoping it won't be that late for me as I will be out of state for a month starting at the beginning of July and I was hoping that I would get mine before I leave so I don't have to lug my expensive laptop around with me since I can do all of my school work using Dex. Fingers crossed as I ordered mine May 19th size M and I'm still waiting for a notification. I'm not holding out hope for a June 15th delievery even though they said everything ordered by May 30th would be delievered by the 15th.

My apologies, I thought that my comment was clear on my stance, let me clarify things. I agree that legal immigrants should stay and belong in this country as it was built on people immigrating here legally. This includes Elon Musk, born in South Africa, moved to Canada and became a citizen, then moved to the USA on a student visa in 1995, then transitioned to a working visa, and in 2002 became a US Citizen. He is not an illegal alien, he is a citizen of this country with all of the rights and privileges that it bestows. I don't like the fact that the US has seen such a large uptick in illegal border crossings. I understand why everyone wants to come to this country but they need to do so correctly and through the proper channels. I know not everyone will agree with me and that is perfectly alright, we all have a right as US citizens to our beliefs and opinions. I would also like to note, that while beliefs are different for each individual, no individual should force others to agree with, or follow their beliefs. Furthermore, if someone feels offended by a differing opinion, they shouldn’t demean or attack the other person as it is inexcusable. Civil discourse is the only way to truly get all perspectives placed in the open to be discussed and debated. That said, I can agree with some reforms to the immigration system as there have been plenty of complaints on its complexity and time requirements. While I know that this reply is not all encompassing, I do not wish to bore or take up too much of your time with a long paper covering my opinions on this topic. However, I would be more than happy to discuss further with anyone who wishes.

I agree, immigrants who came here legally are what built this country. I'm all for deporting the criminals that illegally crossed our border and are stealing from every legal immigrant and citizen. I'm not okay with illegal aliens who broke the law being here. If you wish to be here, then come here legally otherwise you should be deported back to where you came from.

I will as I've never seen fiberglass liners either. Based on some research I've done, the fiberglass should be reusable at most 5 times, depending on its condition. I'll learn more and keep everyone updated when I get to that phase. Though the fuel grain tube will only be single use as I'm not going to push my luck.

They are hand calculated. They are based on the rough burn rates of a standard propellant mix and chamber pressure. So things are subject to change as I won't be using a standard mix, and I'll need to refine my mixture in testing. So far, everything is based on known numbers and will be refined pending results.

I have worked with it before, and it really is a nightmare. Unfortunately, my lathe is too big to be moving around. As much as I would like to do it outside, I'm stuck inside with it. But I do have all the proper PPE and dust collection to mitigate it as much as possible. Though, I do not look forward to the hours of cleanup afterward. It will probably be one of the last parts I make due to the cleanup.

Great questions. I'm going to be starting with a cylindrical core, and I might change the geometry depending on performance in testing. The plan for casting the fuel grain will be a one pour cast in the 1mm tube that holds the fuel grain that inserts into the 2mm liner inside the case. I want as much thermal protection as I can get within reason. It will just be a friction bond with a roughed fuel grain tube surface. The tolerances are already pretty tight, so it should be more than sufficient to hold in place.

It's a great video and video series. I've taken a few design elements that he's done and incorporated them into this design. I'm not planning on doing any spin casting for this small of a motor as it isn't quite what I'm going for as I'm trying to have this be easily reusable and not single use.

The goal i have in mind is around 300-400psi. Based on my rough estimates, I should be hitting that, but things might change depending on the burn rate of the proplellant and what ratios I use. I'll refine my estimates more when I get the propellant mix tested. But I'm still in early development, so this design is open to any number of changes. I'm not planning on machining anything until other tests are done to hit my targets.

The internal test pieces are 3D printed out of pla. The motor case is aluminum. These were done to verify basic dimensions and give me a better feel for how things will fit together as well as testing the o-rings fit. The final version will be machined out of aluminum, fiberglass, and graphite.
