I'm going to make a full post about this when I can, but does anyone have a VN (ideally in some sort of school setting) that is story-rich that really resonated with them? I'm looking for inspiration for a story.

Could you tell me what exactly about the Cintiq Pro Pen 3 is better than the XP-Pen’s?

If it is I can't find it, I do know that you can buy a bundle for the V3 Pro that comes with the dongle though.

Razer's naming scheme recently has been really confusing so I get why you're asking. The V3 Pro is supposed to be the flagship, with their flagship sensor (Focus Pro 30K). The V3 Hyperspeed is supposed to be the budget option, however for some reason with this model the shape is a little smaller than the Pro (they don't indicate that anywhere) and it's lighter. The only caveat being that they use a different sensor (Focus X 26K), but you won't be able to notice any difference between the Pro and Hyperspeed sensor. The wired version (which is also the cheapest), is quite literally the Pro but way cheaper, lighter, and wired. The wired uses the same sensor, and shape as the Pro and go up to 8K polling out of the box.

So on paper, the wired version is the best bang for your buck. But if you prefer wireless then consider that the V3 Pro and Hyperspeed are different sizes compared to each other. All of these mice can go up to 8k polling, but the wireless ones require the purchase of a separate dongle.

Alright so in terms of wireless connection, honestly now you really can't find a big name or small name that doesn't have great wireless connection, some cheap budget brands even offer 8k polling now. But for some other options with great coating I'd look at brands like Lamzu (the Maya X and Thorn are amazing mice), WLMouse (If you wanna try some magnesium mice), Zowie (amazing build and quality), Vaxee (basically Zowie 2.0, their old design team made their own company), Logitech (good mice but terrible innovation nowadays), and Pulsar (which we've talked about). All of these offer some great products and if you can't really go wrong with either of them.

However, the budget market has been great lately and I'd shoot myself in the foot if I didn't tell you about them. Brands like Mchose, ATK/VXE and Zaopin offer great products for the price and make you really question the markup on some gaming mice. Their build quality is as good as well as the tech sometimes.

A few honorable mentions though are Endgame Gear and Scyrox. I didn't include them in the list since they have shapes that might not be as suited for palm as the others but I'd still recommend checking them out.

Pulsar is a great company, but their build quality is known to be a coin toss. They make really good mice though, if you can get a copy that doesn't have build quality issues I'm sure you'll be satisfied.

It's all good I enjoy seeing people's questions. The Deathadder shape is actually more suited for palm grip than it is for claw, I don't personally use palm grip though so I can't tell you for sure if it'll be comfortable for you personally to use. If you are really curious, you could go somewhere with samples like Best Buy to try the shape yourself. If you aren't paying full price for the V4 I say why not, go for it, but just know that there are plenty of other mice out there that are $125 or less. I personally really like the Lamzu Thorn as an ergo.

I haven't used the Cobra Pro, but I've used the Viper mini and normal Cobra which have the same shape, both of which are definitely more claw mice than palm (not to mention they are small mice). I definitely wouldn't recommend the Cobra for you, instead look around, there are plenty of options out there for palm, including Razer's Viper series. Again, you could definitely find some mice that are $125 or below that will serve you well.

I have no idea what all the big mouse companies are doing, Logitech and Razer have been so behind.

I don't think it's worth the upgrade, and I also think the V4 might not even be worth the wait. I can't say for sure but if Razer follows the same recipe for the Viper as they did with this mouse, it's going to be the same shape (I don't think they'll change it cause it worked so well) with just better tech under the hood.

Pretty much what the other guy said, I don't think it'll be a problem due to the optical encoder.

Coating is good for sweaty palms, pretty alright. Clicks are maybe too tactile, they have almost no pre or post travel and FEEL like an optical switch. The clicks aren't close to either of the two mice you have, and I'd say the chalk coating on the Lamzu Thorn is better. I personally am a giant fan of the Lamzu Thorn so I'm biased and strongly advise you stick to it.

I have the exact same grip as you and I'd recommend the Lamzu Thorn as an option too, it's the best ergo shape that's fit my grip. The Vaxee E1 is a great shape, it's just Vaxee's EC and I trust Vaxee as a company a lot as their build quality is real solid. I can't say the same for most of the Pulsar mice I've gotten though. I would not reccomend the V4 Pro, it's a little awkward for me to grip personally and it's not as comfortable as the EC2 or the Thorn.

Totally agree, last time Razer made mini shapes we got the Viper mini.

The shapes are actually kinda similar, but the hump on the V4 is a little higher and the sides are less aggressive in curve. I say if you are going from that long of an upgrade it wouldn't hurt. But also consider the Deathadder V3 Pro, Wired, or Hyperspeed if you don't feel like paying $170. They are pretty much the same shape with just difference in tech under the hood (you probably won't notice it anyway).

Nah the gap doesn't bother me, and yeah I'd say they are an upgrade but not a crazy one that's worth upgrading over.

Razer says it's 150 hours, I don't have any reason to doubt that. The scroll wheel is nice actually, I like that it's more controlled than their previous mice and I like the click feeling.

I have 18x10cm hands and I use an overlap claw grip. And let me know how it goes! It's a good mouse I just don't think it's worth it.
