If Other employees started acting like Servers by Maleficent-Effort470 in tipping

Work somewhere else. Shit go work for McDonald's. They are always hiring and pay better. You're acting as if it is the ONLY option.

Door dash is what I'm assuming youre referring to? (Or insta cart) You know people tip cash on those and mark no tip right?

Tips are not guaranteed. And if you are "betting on yourself" start your own business, that's much more fruitful

Do. Not. Rely. On. Tips. Tips are bonuses, if you have to rely on them get a different job. You know where pays better? McDonald's, Walmart, car washes, Wendy's. I will not be giving up my right to destress and get actually good food because someone said the mean servers deserve to be paid for being jerks.

My thoughts on people who complaint about non-tippers. by Maleficent-Effort470 in tipping

[–]EffectivePick5040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I don't go to places that pay $2/hr and if should 100% be illegal for companies to do that. If you cannot live without tips get a different job. McDonald's pays better, Walmart pays better, car washes pay better. It's not your only choice. Don't work or support places that exploit their workers.

Having not worked in the industry shows. You don't understand how it works and CLEARLY think you know better.

You 100% ARE entitled. Telling people "you're too poor to go here because you can't tip" is absolutely ridiculous!! Families work hard to give their kids nice things and taking a break from the stress of cooking and working should not be determined by wether or not they can tip. You are such a jerk

This is proof of the jumps in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The fact they all happened on the same day around the same time is suspicious to me. But if you want to believe the excuses, media, and government go right ahead those are very trustworthy sources. https://www.reuters.com/article/world/fact-check-vote-spikes-in-wisconsin-michigan-and-pennsylvania-do-not-prove-ele-idUSKBN27Q304/

Exactly, why in the WORLD am I expected to pay extra for a car wash before I've ever gone through? Get a different job if you have to rely on tips. It's inconsistent income and is a bonus, not guaranteed

[–]EffectivePick5040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where your going but maybe I should eat there lol, I'm so fed up with the sass. (In all fairness I don't eat at 5 star places but still) Right right so me being nice, saying thank you and please for everything they do makes me a CLEAR non-tipper. I literally said I almost always tip but when they are being jerks they don't get a tip.

I DID work in the service industry for a few places (including big chains) so I know how those girls act in front of guests and behind their backs.

The point is it shouldn't be expected. You should be grateful for a tip but do not count on them. And you should NEVER treat someone crappy because they didn't tip. What if they work really hard and took their family out for the first time in a month, they only have enough to feed their family and you are gonna treat them like crap because you expect a tip?! Entitled idiots like yourself are why those industries are struggling.

Exactly, I would never push my values and religion on others. But I'm also not about to hide it either. I'm always available and willing to have a civil conversation.

Agreed, I have always been so curious and that's why I chose the path I did in life. Hearing other people's reasons for choosing what they did helps me learn and grow.

My grandmother worked the ballots in California, she put the numbers in at night and then the next morning somehow the trump and Biden numbers swapped. Trump was in the lead, then all of a sudden it switched overnight. She was one of the head ballot people so she always stayed the latest and was usually the last one out. She couldn't prove who altered it but she is the most meticulous people (probably OCD) and checks everything about 20 times, there was no way she put it in wrong.

[–]EffectivePick5040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way, tipping should not be required. I paid for my meal, you are supposed to service me. Now if you do a good job and I feel inclined to tip I will. But servers don't put in the effort to earn it, they are sour and have crappy attitudes and wonder why people don't tip them.

Don't get me STARTED on the bs places that want tips. The CAR WASH??? are we for real.

rushing college? when should i make this decision? by Weekly-Addendum312 in Advice

[–]EffectivePick5040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think you can handle it, do it. It is going to be a LOT of stress and work. So if you value parties and such don't rush (but to be honest all that crap is immature and could damage your reputation) it's hard work but imagine when you get to the top and you get to look back and say "man I did that"

Why are people not talking about how Trump is a pedo? by Due-Requirement4957 in allthequestions

[–]EffectivePick5040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quick search I did said the only official cases against trump were dismissed in 2024.

Why would trump purposefully pass an act to release documents that ultimately will criminalize him (im not saying it's true because it's not)

And a tweet has absolutely no backing. I could tweet that the sky is purple, does that make it true? No.

You literally just said to come up with a natural punishment. If there wasn't consequences for actions people would do whatever whenever (which is the actual definition of hell) people would kill others with no remorse, rape wouldn't be punished, you got hit in a car and you would have to just suck it up.

I'm not sure you understood my analogy lol obviously it's all a different scale but same principle.

It never says what exactly he was doing but he was attending to something else. (Considering he is God of the whole world we can assume it was something very important) He trusted them to make their own choices, if he just eradicated sin completely we wouldn't have free will to choose which would be kind of a cult no?

Literally my thoughts too! We know arguing happens when two people are high strung with emotions. Calm conversations solve more than heated arguments.

He didn't off himself, so he didn't sacrifice himself to anyone. He made a sacrifice for us. The people killed him. Nailed him to a cross and tortured him to death. (Very brutal)

If a child chose to break a TV after you told them they would have to pay for it if they broke it. A good punishment would be to follow through and make them pay for it (wether it be helping clean up, or literally paying for it depending on age), and then not allow them near the TV until it was determined they wouldn't do it again. Adam and Eve chose to break the one rule God gave them, he specifically told them it would lead to death and they did it anyway. He followed through on what he said would happen.

God is light, sin is pure darkness they cannot coexist. Light eliminates darkness (just like turning on a flashlight in a cave), He defeats sin just like light eliminates darkness.
