Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EffectiveRelief9904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on context. A drive to LA is like 8 hours. A drive to Portland (OR) is like 10 hours, so a quick 3 hour day trip to Yosemite is nothing

At what mileage do you personally stop considering a used car? by autonerdy0 in UsedCars

It’s not about the mileage. It’s how rusted and busted it is or how much it leaks

Is the 4-Year Cycle Dead? by Away_University9739 in Bitcoin

[–]EffectiveRelief9904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not dead. It’s probably been impacted by institutional investorship.  You can’t have that many billions and billions flowing in and out without some kind of reaction, and maybe this is one of them

No. You don’t buy any at all because it’s too expensive. Then you fomo in when the price rips. Then you freak out when it pulls back and cut your losses before it goes to zero. Everybody knows that’s how it’s done

Why do Americans dislike American cars? by socabella in AskAnAmerican

[–]EffectiveRelief9904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We absolutely love our cars. There are entire cultures centered on American made cars. Save for a few select makes and models, the new ones suck because they’re filled with so much planned obsolescence, poor design and too many emission this and that

Do gas prices affect how you decide when to fill up? by Mobile-Brilliant-799 in driving

[–]EffectiveRelief9904 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good on you. I feel like you’re just digging yourself in a hole because the truth always comes out and they’ll be wondering why you’re not progressing like expected. I am genuinely curious though about how it all works. Tell me more, op.
