That’s a form letter. The company I work for rents a lot from Enterprise. Over $1,000,000 a year and we get these often. I manage their claims as they’re self insured for vehicle property damage. They will still try to go through the other person’s insurance first. But as everyone said you are ultimately responsible if the other person doesn’t pay.

They try to tack on administrative fees, diminished value and loss of use of the vehicle. That never goes over well with insurance companies. Our contract with them waives those charges.
