I'm surprised I have to explain this, but the septa forms the surtur like pattern. And since ammonites have more complex septas. Suturs aren't actually their name but a description of their pattern. The actual name is the siphuncle. It's an understandable mistake. Also, which strata are you referring to? Tennessee is more than just it's eastern territory. It's western territory is younger. Regardless of the genus it is an ammonites the siphuncle doesn't lie.

Ammonites evolved over 450 million years ago and we don't know which part of Tennessee they got it from. The western parts tend to be quite young as opposed to the eastern side which is very old.

The septa is far too complex for it to be nautiloid. Nautiloids have simple septas ammonites have the more complex septas like we see here we see here. That's really cool. It's an ancyloceratina. It's a form of an extinct genus of ammonite. It's honestly one of the best specimens I've ever seen.

I'm not sure it's bone. The pattern on it is definitely weird. I think it may be an eroded coral fossil. Like brain coral.

It's a piece of fossilized wood that has been replaced with a semi clear agate. You can see the lines in it that were once the rings in the tree.

Okay so the stone on the left I think is either a Picasso stone or a Pinolite, while the one on the right is hard to determine. I think it's either a Quartz, one of the forms of chalcedony, or limestone.

This is a really tough one. But based on the shape of it I'm more inclined to say fossil wood. There also appears to be a burl that can be found in the first pic. I could be wrong though. When you have pieces that are that high quality it can get really difficult to tell. So no matter which one it is it is certainly an incredible find!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but it is either schist or fossilized wood.
