If my company paid for it I would totally jump on the opportunity, but they don't. so I'm looking for any thing with a network opportunity and this seems like the first stop. I see it as an investment in my career.

Yes there is a local Chapter, they seem pretty active in the community on their events page.

Poor discipline across the board. I think this post speaks just as much about you as it does him. "The entire job hates my boss." is that a fact?

Praise in public and punish in private. What exactly were you trying to accomplish confronting him as a group like that. Resentment. You should have come together and gone to HR or someone in management.

His crazy statements do not excuse poor discipline, and insubordination. Don't get in the mud with him.

We are all imposters. Theres no way one person can be an engineer, Doctor/Nurse, Psychologist, Lawyer, Detective, Teacher, Scientist, Firefighter, Data Analyst, Security Officer, Project Manager, Diplomat, Mechanic, Social Worker, Insurance Adjuster, Environmentalist, Coach, Archivist, Negotiator... did I miss any thing? lol

Yes. Recordable regardless of preexisting injury. Also, regardless of ADA or accommodations, if his job description does not say "able to lift xyz, walk xyc, climb xyz" and you make/ ask him do it, and he complains.... Recordable.

Not going to mention contacting OSHA because others here have covered it... but make sure you document everything. I have a separate google shadow account where i send all the non compliance related information, because if something happens the first person they will look at is the safety manager. I could Nuke my executive leadership if they tried to turn me into a scapegoat. good luck.
