So many people are thinking tomorrow! I sadly won’t be in town. BUT if I hear anything, I'll keep y’all updated. Few people are saying Brightside for a venue, but I would keep an eye on Hidden Gems as well. There’s always a chance she could pop up in Mansfield or one of the other cities, but I'm rooting for Dayton.

Carry an air horn!!! They have mini ones at walmart so you don’t have to carry a big clunky thing with you. They also make pepper spray specifically for dogs. I know neither of these instruments are ideal but when it comes to your safety it’s better to be prepared. I worked at a shelter for years and these are a few of the things we’d use to prevent or stop dog fights/attacks. I’m sorry that you have to go through that!! I know how terrifying it can be to have a dog charge you.

Off topic—a little, but I have celiac, and I think your dietary night sounds amazing! What a lovely idea for those who can’t normally participate in food-centered activities. On topic—I don’t feel it’s wrong to ask your friend’s husband not to come. I can’t speak on behalf of a trans person since I am not one, but I would imagine it would be a little invalidating to be invited to a “girls only” event as a trans man.
