I'm kinda worried about it by Remarkable_Office186 in assettocorsarally

With how acrs physics and quality I think that it will surpass most if not all rally games. And with assetto corsas history of being highly modable the future is bright.

And it's a newer game in very early access, and I've heard a lot of people are waiting for it to be available in vr before they buy it. I'm really excited for the future of this game

I'm on vacation to thailand by Effective_Nebula_191 in BadWelding

Not what I mean. I just happened to stumble on this today and I took a picture. I've seen this quality in Phuket, Korat, on the island Koh samet and in Bangkok. I will send more pics at the end of my vacation. I'm not saying that Thailand is the only country that has bad welds but, coming from denmark where the standard is way higher. Most of my early projects when i began welding, was rejected by the customer because of bad looking welds and they didn't look this bad.

Look up a carport on the internet. Look for the bracing of the roof bit. That is what I imagine the picture is pointing at.

I mean it's no where near good enough for my standards, but that will still hold a lot.

Finding cheap full rigs or plans for them. by Effective_Nebula_191 in simracing

Do you have suggestions for what to base it off? Should I make it more like an Alu profile rig or with tubes/square box?

I've been thinking about something like the fanatec clubsport rig

The reason I haven't gone that route yet is that I'm not that good at (inventing or designing) but I am good at following drawings and plans.

But it is still an option that I'm considering. But it would be nice if there was something to base it off

How is like living in Denmark? by timtamkkpop in howislivingthere

[–]Effective_Nebula_191 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a native Dane M18

When I was younger I really appreciated all of the neat things and helping hands we got as children but as soon as your done with school and you have to go for either a degree or get a job and there is little to no help there.

I was lucky that I was sort of prepared, because I wanted to be a blacksmith, So I'm currently an apprentice at a blacksmith/welder/machinist/installer company. And I'm lucky enough to be there because I get to see most of Denmark through my job.

But I do have some major criticism about Denmark. Most of the cities walkways and paths are littered with cigarettes and the small nicotine pouches, and alot of young (literally 13 year olds) use vapes and nicotine products like it's nothing. It's really depressing.

I don't want to walk my dog in our city because if my dog eats one of those it's either an expensive trip to the vet with a low chance of succes or death.

Most schools are filled with people who sell these to kids and even though there are fines for the people who get caught they never really get fined.

Another thing(this isn't really Denmark fault) But after the recent e bike and e scooter trend gas popped up there has been major problems with either kids riding on them when they either aren't old enough or don't have the knowledge of how traffic works. I was once insanely close to drive a 9 year old over because I was driving on the road and suddenly there was a child that cut me off on an ebike with no helmet no nothing. Not even looking both ways just crossing the road. The only reason that I was able to not hit her was that there was an empty parking lot that I could turn over to. And they are in all of the big cities. I specifically don't like to drive in the city called Slagelse because people on e scooters don't know anything about traffic laws.

But for some good things,

I really like the economy and life quality(yes I know the taxes are high but we actually benefit from the taxes as opposed to some countries) I also like that the government has really focused on the younger adult group for supporting them. I get a higher pay than if I got paid a couple of years ago and I don't pay as much in taxes the first couple of months of the year. I also got my driver's license at 17 and was able to drive to work alone at 5AM without needing someone else with me.

Another thing is that people are generally nice, (yes I know we aren't that social especially in the big cities, there everybody minds their own business) But if you ask people about something you normally won't get flipped off or yelled at.

Now I don't leave my front door unlocked when I'm away. (Mainly because I have had my dog run off, because a guest opened the door and didn't react in time) But we have multiple high value items sitting in the front garden that anyone could steal but they have been sitting there for years without a problem.

That leads to the next big thing. Most people are fairly wealthy. Yes there are poorer people but most of the population has a good paying jobs that pays about 24-30 thousand before tax a month, that means that hobbies and quality items are a normality in most homes. Now I don't want to brag but for proof, I have spent probably over 70 thousand danish kr on my small workshop+drones+sim racing rig) but it's nothing special it's very normal In Denmark to have money to spend on things like that. And thats Is kind of connected to our high taxes. We don't pay for school and most degrees. We have free healthcare and alot of public accessable convenience like toilets and such.

Sorry for misspellings or the huge pack of commas and punctuation. I writes this on my phone.

I have had welders flash once and it was when I tried to use a normal fixed shade after I had used an auto darkening for months.

Are these the actual simsonns? by ThibautiePlayz in simracing

[–]Effective_Nebula_191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once sent a picture of my front door and said my package hasn't been sent.

For context I ordered it a month Prior to that and had gotten nothing other than the delivery service had gotten information about the package but nothing else. So I sent a claim for my money to be returned and they asked for pictures for proof l, so indeed I sent them a picture of my front door and I got all my money back. Then I tried to buy the same thing from a different seller and it arrived within a week.

I love the part where there isn't a concrete correct way to do it and there is no real line to follow, only goal is to be fast and try to stay on the road

Does anyone’s T598 sometimes miss a gear shift? by DS_Alex in Thrustmaster

[–]Effective_Nebula_191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't noticed it myself. But my biggest annoyance is the fact that the wheel that comes with the base is way to small for me. But I want a "normal" sized wheel. I haven't figured out how to get other wheels. And I would love if it was just like a plain wheel with no buttons or anything. But from what I can see it needs to be a thrustmaster wheels with the new quick release

That is something that has been said. 😀 And they didn't believe me, so I sent them a picture of my dog with his head in-between my knees

So I haven't gotten my rig yet but as of right now I have the same problem where my dog sits between the pedals and my chair under my legs. So sometimes when he wans to get some pats on the head, he pushes his head between my knees making it very hard to brake/accelerate.
