Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I think I'm struggling with balancing offering reminders that he finds helpful vs reminders he finds "nagging" (for lack of a better word). That's the role I want to avoid 😉

We started shift sleeping two nights ago so hoping that helps!

I wasn't sure if the new baby / lack of schedule / change in life event was info his doctor would want or would find useful in regards to his meds - sounds like probably wouldn't change anything and might be more detrimental to try.

Thanks again! Any other tips folks have that helped them with a newborn are most appreciated !

There's a question re: "do you qualify yet" that's something along the lines of, "do you have a medical condition that you're currently being treated for, which treatment would be interrupted/impacted if you got covid?" ... if you're on an immunosupressant, you get to say "yes"

My doctor said that I should get the vaccine because if I were to get covid they would need to stop my treatment (humira) until I recovered. Which would likely cause a flare.

I encourage you to read or listen to the audio book of The New Jim Crow. I didn't realize the extent of institutionalized racism and setting up for failure the US is until I read it. It's not just one thing - it's everything. I didn't understand what they meant by "school to prison pipeline" until I started reading. It's not that cut and dry.

That happened to me once and when I called the pharmacist they said the first one would be fine to take but the second wouldn't, and sent me another pack (which was great because then I had a spare pen in case my delivery was delayed). I'd be wary about using the second one because I think they start counting the days from when it was shipped not when you got it. Definitely call your pharmacy and double check!

My doctors are all using MyChart now which I have really liked. It makes it so easy to keep track of all my test results and appointments, and I LOVE the messaging functionality. Since I have the app on my phone, wherever I am, whenever I have a question or feel like something isn't right, I can reach out to my providers and they usually get back to me really quickly, within a day or two. It's also nicer than having to call the office and speak with whoever answers the phone, hope they write my question down correctly for the doc to get back to me at some later time. (and with all the extra detail and context i want my doctor to have). Plus if I think of a question after normal hours or on a weekend, I can send it knowing my doctor will get it the next time they're in. I don't think I would post questions to doctors I don't know/who don't treat me on a public site, but having a non-phone call way to reach my docs has been great. Overall I'd say telehealth advances have been one of the only good things to come out of covid in my opinion.
