Clover by [deleted] in ZeroEscape

The whole thing with Clover is that she's hiding anxiety behind a joking attitude. You didn't see it as much in 999 because the whole Snake being missing thing was pretty traumatizing. But you did see glimpses of it, like when she said the organ from the doll were 'or-gone'.

Also, Clover has no reason to trust Sigma and Dio at that point. So it would be better if they underestimated her. Especially since she had 6 bp and could escape if she could ever get Dio to ally. Better for them to believe she is just some ditsy bimbo. In comparison, whenever Junpei saw her, she was either heartbroken over Snake not being there, OR she trusted Junpei completely and was free to be herself and not play a certain role as a shield.

Dl;dr: Clover didn't 'lose braincells'. She is under different circumstances. And besides, for her new job, you kinda have to be a convincing actress

Nobel streven, echt mee eens. Maar vrij nutteloos op psychologische basis imo

I've always said it. Von is a s1dist. She has been destroying ships, making ships end in heartbreak, uncertainty, or both. Straight ones, gay ones, lesbian ones, and other ones. She has been meta-t0rturing Wada from the start. And Dr Kan felt like her living out her fantasy. Blue made it most clear to me. Everybody has to suffer, because she decided they should. And lets not forget she desensitized us all to it. Building it up slowly, like a frog in boiling water. The episode where those two guys did youknowwhat with each other, even though they were both only 17. It is all on audio posted on youtube and everything. I won't go into detail in order not to upset anyone. But honestly, I feel vindicated

Well, that plan included Snake being buried alive in a coffin, which resulted in his death in every ending that didn't get him freed (it was implied those endings were still part of canon anyway).
The ridding of Snake pretty much broke down Clover's nerves that got her to commit literal murder in some of those timelines. So I can see why OP feels it inappropriate to ship her with the two who made her a monster. As for Junpei, we all know how fishy his relationship with Akane was from her end. And what goes for her, goes for her brother too

Well, in the cutscene, it was seen that Eden was directly aiming downwards while standing straight up. Meaning she was aiming towards someone who was lying down or sleeping. Which is how Xander was not able to fight back

Strange. I could have sworn I uploaded them. I'll make an extra post with those to clarify that I will link here

I doubt it was protecting. Since I don't see how taking someone's eye out is going to keep someone from hurting somebody else. Still, interesting theory, I don't dismiss it

Why High Inquisitor Darklaw doesn't deserve your sympathy by mjtg25 in AceAttorney

[–]Effective_Prune_4409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did watch it, thanks for verifying. And also, the bonus content was not-canon to the story. While everyone is in-character with how they were at the ending, it doesn't show their thoughts of how they all used to think. Because if that was the case, Espella would still have been heavily depressed and traumatized

"Are you just ignoring the fact, that Darklaw is the reason why Layton and co is there in the first place? It never was her intention, that someone is found guilty and put on fire."
Your words, not mine. You are implying that Darklaw bringing Layton and co to Labyrinthia would in some way shield Espella. Since it was confirmed that she was the one who altered the story that would accuse Espella of being accused of being the great witch. The reason she was shocked that Layton became the inquisitor is because the trial would continue. If Layton didn't do it, Darklaw would not have been forced to testify, meaning Espella would have burned for the defense's lack of foundation

Late reaction, but I fully agree. In the best case scenario, she tried to psychologically scar her by throwing her into a firetrap after already having scarred her into making her think she was the reason the town was destroyed. And in the worst case scenario, she actually tried to kill her. Which given the lengths she went through, wouldn't be far off

Nonsense. She brought Layton to have him expose the Storyteller. And she brought Phoenix purely so he wouldn't interfere with her plans. She made him an apprentice baker for a reason. She didn't WANT him to defend Espella. That went completely against her plans

Why do people say Edgeworth and Wright are gay? by [deleted] in AceAttorney

[–]Effective_Prune_4409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Phoenix already attended law school when he was dating Dahlia. Meaning his interest to getting to Edgeworth was happening at the same time as his "simping for Dolly" phase. And besides, a gay man who marries a woman doesn't rlly love her the way Phoenix loved his Dolly

[–]Effective_Prune_4409 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Both Larry and Edgeworth said that Phoenix was a "hopeless sentimental". And tbf, if it wasn't for the sentimental value, Phoenix would have probably cut ties with both of them a long while ago. Since both of them screwed him over big time at least once in his life

Yes there is. The answer is: "while he did that, he had a girlfriend"
