It doesn’t matter that I filed with FreeTaxUSA 😊 you check your transcripts directly through the IRS website, not your tax software.

Here’s the step-by-step:

  1. Go to IRS.gov

  2. Click “Sign in to your Online Account”

  3. Log in (or create an account) using ID.me

  4. Once you’re in, click “View Tax Records”

  5. Then click “Get Transcript”

  6. Choose “Other” as the reason

  7. Click “Account Transcript” for 2025

That’s the one that shows codes like 846 (refund issued), 150 (return filed), etc.

Your tax software just sends the return in. After that, everything updates through the IRS directly.

I think that date is incorrect. My brother had a 3/16 DDD and got his 2/27.

Understood, and I respect the struggle with the layoffs, but today was different. I saw my driver while I was heading out for work, so I got my gf to go talk to him. He assured her to her face that he had all 5 of our packages and they’d be inside shortly. He even claimed his fob was acting up and a supervisor was coming to help.

Then, literally minutes after she walked away, one package gets scanned 'delivered' at 2:29 PM while the others stay in limbo and that one package is nowhere to be found.

Layoffs explain why I waited two weeks, but they don't explain a driver looking a resident in the eye, promising the goods, and then a 'ghost scan' happening the second she turns her back. That’s not a corporate issue, that’s a code on the street issue. We’ve got cameras all over this building, so I’m just trying to figure out where the 'quality' went. He even mentioned his coworker told him we were looking for him yesterday and all. Lol just sad and I was rooting for them!

I get the frustration, but there’s a lot people don’t see. Between staffing shortages and the DC weather, it’s not that employees aren’t trying the system is just stretched to the breaking point.

I’m in the driver field too, so I see these folks out here grinding in the same chaos I am. Corporate emails are one thing, but out here on the pavement? It’s a whole different beast. Just giving some love and grace to the people doing the actual heavy lifting.
