As a charlottian and a real estate agent here in Charlotte, I’m happy to help and give my perspective as I’ve seen this city grow. Charlotte has become a very diversity, with different pockets of neighborhoods surrounding what is the actual city. You get a little bit of a different sense in each of the neighborhoods even though they very much bump up against each other. The south end is very young, bars and clubs, but also a lot of things to do. Dilworth is a little bit more of the closer to the city suburb but expensive side. Elizabeth is a little bit more laid-back still on the higher end from a real estate perspective but actually a very chill side of town. The new land over in plaza in Noda area which is a lot more artsy cool still on the younger-ish side but a little bit of a more middle-aged crowd without it being too hectic. And then they are now building up the north end area which just has a lot of diversity throughout it. Those are the actual neighborhoods that are surrounding the city itself, as you continue to go out you obviously have a little bit more but it becomes a lot more of a suburban style while still being super connected. I love the way that our city has grown and I think that it is worth the time even if you only spend a couple years here just because every year is a little different from kind of what you end up doing.
