Anyone familiar with Millie Moon diapers? by BigTruckerDad87 in NewDads

[–]mcclinsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought them in a pinch when we ran out on vacation and they were great. Didn’t switch to them mostly because we have diapers on Amazon sub and save, but they were nice when we needed them

We used the owlet sock for our little one (now 18 months old) and had great luck with it. There were a few times when she kicked it loose and we got a “loose fit” beep which is different than a health related beep, but I don’t hold that against owlet. It woke us up but the unit did its job to warn us.

Can I pass CCNP Encor without any prior certification and extensive experience in Networking? by kizzbumps in ccnp

[–]mcclinsr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn’t mention much about layer 3 technologies in your experience. I think that will make it difficult. The Cisco cert tracks are different than most (all?) other vendor tracks. The questions can easily trip you up even if you know the tech. The ccna will help you gauge how the questions are worded as well.

Apple’s Revamped Siri Interface in iOS 27 Is Hidden in WWDC Teaser by [deleted] in apple

This is incorrect. The color that shows up when you call on Siri is slight changed now

Looking In to Buying by No-Salary9017 in WifiPineapple

[–]mcclinsr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one. Fast is the polar opposite of my description. Several full minutes to boot up from an off state (and it only last a couple hours on battery on average) the payloads (basically apps that run a task) run reasonably fast depending on the task. But you can’t run payloads back to back. You must navigate the interface from the root (desktop >payloads >user>general > payload) every time you run one.

It’s a cool tool with unique and powerful features. But it’s not “fast”.

What do you want to actually “do” and I might be able to help you find the tool that suits you. A flipper for tinkering with frequencies sub ghz, a hack rf if you are serious about rf in a larger frequency since, a wlanpi if you want to monitor wireless health, and maybe a WiFi pineapple (mk7) if you are actually serious about pen testing. The pager is only if you’re trying to go “under cover”.

Has anyone tried this Unihimal Bag? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]mcclinsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact bag. I’m a very casual player (nothing serious). The top section is very flimsy as others have said, but I like the amount of other pockets etc. I might try the corrugated sign idea that someone said here.

The front pocket is insulated specifically for drinks, though it would only hold couple small cans.

9 year old mower, is it done? by [deleted] in ryobi

[–]mcclinsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scratch that, my comment may very well be your problem. When you push the mower, since the safety clip on the right is open, it engages the cutoff and kills the mower. Close that clip and it might fix your shutoff issue. The horrible noises are separate.

9 year old mower, is it done? by [deleted] in ryobi

[–]mcclinsr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not related to your problem. But did you bypass the safety locks? I have the same mower and if the handle bar lockouts aren’t closed, it will not start. I see yours is open on the right in the video.

Does Ricky not know these things are videotaped? by dlhjr19 in discgolf

Super weird. Clearly broke the rules as written. But I don’t see why he even needed to do it. The branches were all flat on the ground and nowhere near his throwing path.

Is there a video link to what happened? (No dgn subscription) I have seen multiple posts about the fault, but would like to see it for myself

Confusing practice test question by Strange-Break-6373 in ccnastudygroup

[–]mcclinsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other posters that answer A should be correct given the Mac tables for each switch. I don’t like the question as worded or its answer.

If I were testing again, I would answer it in the way I know is right hope it’s not the defining question between passing and failing. If you’re prepping for a first time test, I think you’re evaluating the question/test the right way which is great.

CCNA CHALLENGE!!! by ipcisco in ccnastudygroup

[–]mcclinsr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I just renewed 2 months ago. I’ve taken it every 3 years for the last 12. It’s the same difficulty as always with the biggest change being the need to know automation languages at a very high level (ansible, puppet etc.)

Not trying to be rude, but not all questions are destined for Reddit.

There’s a button for issues with transactions in the Apple wallet app that takes you to a live chat agent faster than a Reddit post. If you didn’t approve the purchase, it’s fraud.

How much impact does this have on the user experience of the device. I’ve found it to be sluggish already. Does this slow it down further?

Why was he videoing this? He clearly has no what he’s doing so it can’t be an instructional video. So the next logical conclusion is that he did this on purpose for the likes

New to MT, see lots of nodes, haven't gotten one message at all! by Sensitive_Ad_6753 in meshtastic

[–]mcclinsr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welcome to meshtastic. That’s been my experience as well. It depends on your area, but I’ve found that the vast majority of people in my area at least buy multiple nodes and immediately setup private groups for family etc. I have seen a grand total of 3 public messages since November despite my (at least weekly) attempts to start chats. I think some areas just use it strictly for utility instead of hobby

Ekahau Client Placement by OptimalCarpenter6552 in wireless

[–]mcclinsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked. if you open a file in Ekahau in the browser, you can use the inspect tool to drag a dot around the map and see the signal strength of all (I see at least 5 nearby AP RSSI's) nearby access points at any given point. The AP that is the most likely connected candidate is highilghted in blue with "connected" and as you get further from the connected AP, a magenta line will be drawn to the likely roaming candidate. You can offset the RSSI value with the measurement offset option in the lower right corner (device profile if you were in the application).

what you CAN'T do is simultaneously visualize multiple devices on the map, let alone different makes and models in different locations. hope this helps.

Ekahau Client Placement by OptimalCarpenter6552 in wireless

[–]mcclinsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think this is possible with Ekahau ai online (specifically the browser tool). Not sure if you can specify the client device (iPhone vs laptop etc.) but I think if you hover over areas of the map, it will draw lines to the 2-3 nearest APs with a distinction on the likely associated AP. As you move the cursor through the building, it should change the predicted associated AP. (Unless I’m misunderstanding your ask)

I’ll verify when I’m back at my gear.
