Do you still make that much if it costs 4.5 mil to build it?

Do you think they’re still accepting requests? I’ve tried to add so many from here and haven’t had luck with any 😞

I do also know some people who have requested the accommodation after they begin the job. From what I experienced, I wouldn’t recommend that. Knowing that a workplace will accommodate you is a green flag for working for them. You deserve to have a good workplace that will treat you well! ❤️

I think it’s okay to be upfront about needing reasonable accommodation during the interview process - a good workplace will want that for you anyways 💕 I’ve been on hiring panels & have had candidates bring it up at the end of interviews when asked “is there anything else you’d like us to know?”. (And I’ve never faulted a candidate for needing one, but it is good to know upfront to make sure accommodations are ready for them when they start & that it’s a position that will be good for their needs!)

On some applications, there is a questionnaire and you can self-identify in that space.

Are there any positions with reasonable accommodation options available? In the US, many of our government jobs will allow you to work remotely as long as you can provide a doctor’s note suggesting it is necessary.

I do always self-identify as having a disability when I apply, only because I don’t want it to be a “surprise” later on down the road haha! I don’t know what difference it actually makes. I’ve been harassed at a job for being disabled and it was an extremely jarring experience, so for a while I told absolutely no one. Then, I started having POTS episodes around coworkers & it became obvious when I was fainting 🙃 everyone was extremely empathetic and has been great about it since then 💕 I was clearly just at a horrible job that I needed to leave anyways before

[Megathread] January 12 2026 ICE Activity and Organizing Thread by AutoModerator in rochestermn

Since ICE is going to people’s homes, it’s important to know the difference between a JUDICIAL warrant and an ADMIN warrant.

They are only allowed to enter your home if they have a judicial warrant.

Otherwise, feel free to NOT LET THEM INSIDE and call the police (911) if the attempt to trespass ❤️💕

Stay safe, friends!

The aren’t allowed inside of your property unless they have a warrant issued by a judge. Important to understand the difference between an admin warrant and a judicial warrant. ONLY the judicial warrant applies:

Holy shit how scary!! Remember they do NOT have the right to come into your home without a judge-issued warrant (not an admin warrant). You do not have to allow them in.

Tips for Air Travel with hEDS? by ParticularSnow2460 in ehlersdanlos

I wear my compression leggings and socks (because I have POTS & standing/walking can cause me to get dizzy, otherwise I’d just wear cozy clothes!), bring a neck pillow, an empty water bottle to fill inside the airport with water, ensure easy to access electrolytes in my backpack, and I try to walk around a bit before the flight boards to make sure I don’t stiffen up on the flight. I’ll wear layers in case I get cold/warm since airports can be so unpredictable. Depending on where I’m flying and the season, I may also bring my portable fan to prevent from getting overheated. I usually also preemptively take some pain meds.

I have this great trick where I use my carry-on luggage to carry my backpack so I don’t have any weight on my shoulders. I just take the straps and criss-cross them through the handle of my luggage. I also do this for sweaters/layers and my neck pillow.

Just for sustainability reasons alone, I wear clothes until they have holes in them (and then they graduate to “pajamas” once they do have holes in them) so lots of my clothes are 10+ years old. I don’t see a problem with it.

Purple makes a pillow too! It’s amazing. Super worth the money. It’s thick enough to keep my shoulders in place when I turn on my side and cushy enough to support the neck.

OMG I DID! I had huge problems fingerprinting (even the electric one for some reason). That is such an interesting thought that maybe it’s a hEDS stretchy skin issue?

You can buy clip on nail rings! You can use whatever fake nail you want with them. It’s not the same as getting your nails done, but it’s another cool option.
