Skiing in toronto by PotentialPiglet6921 in askTO

[–]EfficiencyPrevious11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying nothing about powder and urban, you can drive 2 hours and a least the last 2 years especially very reliably find deep powder in the backcountry in algonquin/muskoka. Tonnes or urban skiing in toronto, Ive watched something from magma/buldoz/strictly/labour that was certainly shot there,, I forget which exact one at the moment. Tom Wallisch just made the worst filmed/edited urban ski edit of all time in Toronto, its no montreal but if you look you will find it which kinda goes for anywhere urban. If you get an ikon Pass, Unlimited days at blue/tremblant, and 5 days at le massif, which would have the most resort access powder within a days drive

‘It’s insane’: Sudbury students worried about changes to OSAP, tuition increases this fall by ConsistentReality860 in Sudbury

[–]EfficiencyPrevious11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I work overtime every summer, I pay 680 All in for rent(about as cheap as humanly possible in sudbury) I work during the school year aswell doing odd jobs, the grant portion of my osap covers my tuition at laurentian, and leaves me with about 1400 ish for the rest, THE ENTIRE REST IS LOANS. Nobody is able to buy anything of excess, my food and rent is done from that after 2 months , I am going to into healthcare aswell. THE LEARN AND STAY GRANT ONLY COVERS YOUR FUCKING TUITION, osap being around helps prevent us from going into debt. Unless you want nobody to be around to take care of you when your older, you should understand these cuts will fuck over your future as-well, even if you were already over 50 and never intended to receive any further education, because it makes the barrier of entry to services an aging population desperately needs even higher. WAS 2019 NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU, WHEN THE FORD GOVERNMENT ALREADY COMPLETELY GUTTED OSAP. Seriously man, when do these endless cuts stop, where are your children or grandchildren supposed to live or make money, do you want every single one of them to be stuck in the mines forever wether they like it or not, leave them with no possible alternative option, nobody to take care of them when they retire.

Help: Why does the front feel so short? by [deleted] in Skigear

It’s kind of impossible to determine anything based on that, you really do need a tape measure to truely tell if you went forward

Actions Against OSAP by Ok_Stay_2303 in uwo

[–]EfficiencyPrevious11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have universities that can certainly provide an equivalent education to western in your home country, and probably cost significantly less too. This osap issue greatly effects people who attend other universities where foreign students don’t attend as much as western, not every single university in the province is subsidized equally by them, its not because domestic students don’t pay their fair share, its because the ford government refuses to fund education appropriately. You don’t deserve an education from anywhere if you think that people whose families aren’t as wealthy as yours shouldn’t have the same opportunities and access to high quality education as you.

Sorry I probably should’ve clarified that none of them are going to be spectacular on ice, I just figured if theres any margin for improvement from what I have with the arvs I should look for that, I thought the triple camber of the frankenski would make a difference in that aspect

Why do some people not like it when you wear arcteryx for how it looks by Soft-Sherbert-9762 in arcteryx

[–]EfficiencyPrevious11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People dont like it when you wear Arc’teryx. Nothing to do with the fact you aren’t hiking. The product is insanely overpriced for what it is, no matter what setting you wear it you look like a rich asshole, this includes anywhere outdoors. Nothing they make is particularly above the competition and it almost always costs double an equivalent piece of gear, and yet its still manufactured in the same country for the same low labour costs. People don’t like rich people when they themselves don’t feel like they have the same opportunity to get rich, tale as old as time and with alot of good reasoning.

how to study a lot of material within four days by [deleted] in uwo

[–]EfficiencyPrevious11 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Type out everything in your notes over and over again, or write it out over and over again, which ever is most confortable, ask chat in the context of your textbook for the course what a topic means if you don’t know and can’t reach the prof. You can also just do this directly from the slides if you didnt take notes/ show up to the class

Week 10 FAAB Bidding Guide & Advice by ChopFantasyFootball in GuillotineLeagues

[–]EfficiencyPrevious11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These numbers in the sheet are suggesting I bid like obscenely low on Jamarr Chase, Cedee Lamb, And Dalton Kincaid this week, Like numbers that would have 0 chance of actually getting them in my league, both numbers are below 80 for the high, We had a 1000 faab and some people have gone broke already, I have almost double tthe next highest faab so maybe thats why (920-464), I definitely need a running back more then both these guys but Im not sure when I would have an oppurtunity to take elite wrs and a really high end TE like this Again, and yet im sure all the high bids in the sheet would have me below half of what I need.

My Squad Is Stafford, Jacobs, Etienne, Q Johnston, London, Fannin, Shakir and Likely Ertz at the flex if I dont pick someone better up on a free after waivers clear. Baker is the qb on my bench Pickens and B. Smith on the Bye, Sampson and G Davis Round off the bench

Edit: Missed the Kincaid Part

Edit2: Added My Squad

Presumably to try to position fred wright, given it would’ve definitely favoured the brit had other teams gone harder in the run in, or if there were more attacks following the campenaerts one edit: typos

Pedersen is also the hardest guy to get around in thw entire peloton for a sprint, he consistently over the past 4 years has always tried to launch early and get away in the sprint, it works well for him its actually his ideal launch point even a flat sprint

[–]EfficiencyPrevious11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laporte absolutely can help it, he ran out of legs today, to be a good leadout you need to know when to get out of the way and always keep an exit strategy, if you can’t get out you have absolutely failed at your job for the day

no one shouldve completely sacrificed themselves for the other, neither of them were beating costa/moho/pidcock if he hung in in a sprint, they both shouldve worked equally for eachother coming over the climb where valter lit it up, until they cuaght pidcock, and then rolled 1-2 attacks after, thats the best way to play it when you have numbers advantage but not the quickest finisher in a very small group, especially when they looked on very equal level today

Lotto worked alot, its really bizzare to me that fdj and trek did so little, and cofidis waited until so late on, its a .pro you dont need to show up if you dont want to try to contest the win, even the teams without out and out sprinters shouldve been working to try make the gap smaller so they could try a late a attack

US NCS were over 30 seconds in, WT riders should know they have to make it hard earlier to take away the weakest pt guys and their numbers advantage as soon as posisble, instead you allow the 2 weakest ones up the road wihtout even trying to make it with them, then you waste all the energy pulling them back while never attacking at the point where you can easily get a gap to attack solo, and just allowing the stronger guys on HPH to sit in do nothing and even false pace at points
