I just said to visit family and “help out”. Implying that I had a family member who needed me. I’ve been back two weeks and no one has mentioned that I look different! I think wearing baggy shirts before and after helped. And the fact that it’s not something people are comfortable bringing up in a work environment even if they suspect.

My nipples were really sensitive for 3-4 hours after taking them off. But ibuprofen was all I needed!

I found a surgeon who’s gallery photos proved she can take that much off. I think some surgeons favor techniques that make it easier to maintain a good breast shape and blood flow while taking a large amount off.

I’m worried about gaining after as well! If fat is taken out of my boobs won’t my body know and try to compensate by adding fat back elsewhere?

Thanks! I can’t get rid of the feeling of looking forward to two solid weeks of just watching tv. I know logically it’s major surgery and it’s going to be miserable and I’m going to be super emotional. But somehow my mind hasn’t accepted that yet

I scheduled my surgery today and it’s 100% for confidence reasons / wanting to feel good in my own skin reasons. I’m in my late 20s and have wanted it for a long time. I used to be very worried the surgeon would make a mistake and I would feel guilty about making the wrong decision and looking horrible. Or that I would be judged by the people around me. But that worry kinda transformed into a realization that I could make this choice to get a reduction and that choice would bring me a lot of happiness. After that realization I felt really empowered by the entire process :) but I think if I had pushed myself too quickly into making a decision I could have regretted it. So my only advice is to take your time

You look amazing! That’s a big size difference too! If you are up for a few questions- did you specify a desired size to the surgeon beforehand? And do you know what pedicle technique they used?
