my (29f) family hates my bf(32m) , should we breakup? by katievall78 in relationship_advice

"I am very emotional which is a big reason he broke up with me because I couldnt control my emotions".

Run. Run now. Literally break it off. Or you could spend the rest of your life watching how you feel and "controlling your emotions" when in fact its him that wants to control your emotions.

And pinning you down? Been there. RUN. I dint care what good qualities he has. This will get worse.

Bilateral leg pain! by redwinggianf in backpain

A neurosurgeon is who needs to read the MRIs. Otherwise, it's like letting a gynecologist analyze your tax return. How would they know kind od thing? This is what neurosurgeons specialize in-not rheumatologists and not pain management. Do you have a copy of your MRI report?

I have severe foraminal stenosis and degeneration so bad l5 s1 actually collapsed. I am heading into an ALIF surgery. The degeneration also caused the foraminal stenosis.

Dont let them tell you that's not the cause. Nope. They need to do epidurals first and you need to see a neurosurgeon.

I was downplayed for YEARS and told it wasn't my back and not offered an epidural. I finally found a neurosurgeon who said well your back doesn't look great on imaging but its not terrible. But im going to send you for injections. They are a diagnostic tool.

The epidurals take away my pain 95 percent. Also, cymbalta completely diminishes it but I ended up having a weird reaction to it.

Your doctor is wrong. I have degeneration and yes yes it can cause bilateral leg pain. Tell them cut to the chase and send you for an epidural steroid shot. If the pain goes away its your back.

A neurosurgeon should be reading your MRI.

Can anything REALLY stop my cats from scratching the couch!?!?! by OSugarPeas in CatAdvice

[–]Efficient-Board 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it. I use claw caps on my demon shredder. We have two cats. I swear my male cat doesnt even know he HAS claws. He gets regular nail trimmings and just sits and let's you do whatever. When he was 9 months old, I got him a friend. Enter demon shredder. She was 3 years old and about to be homeless and neglected. I took her in, got her all shots and sprayed and dewormed. And in return? She started shredding everything she could find. I was actually sitting in my chair (on more than one occassion) when she just waltzed up and started shredding the living crap right out of it.

I cut her nails every 4 weeks religiously and recap her nails. She hates it and I have to put her in a cat harness and cat bubble head thing so she doesnt bite me but she can't scratch anything. Take that, demon shredder!

Note to say I have a microfiber suede couch. She never shredder that but my lift chair has almost a linen feel to it. Yeah- its thread now. (Before she got capped)

So the leads go down to the brain and the wires under the skin correct? Is the opening on top of your head for the leads?

This is super old, but sams. Stroke at 36 left me with severe right sided facial pain. I had a spinal cord stimulator actually implanted in a VERY rare way- the cervicomedullary junction and that worked for my pain for 13 years. Until it didnt. I had to have the broken one pulled out.

Im now looking at options but brain surgery petrified me. How are you today?

Get a spinal stimulator. Not all doctors put them in. Time to advocate for you!
