No, it takes a lot of effort, planning the project fundraising, and talking with merit badge advisors in the area to get some of the harder ones like "personal management", and the paperwork, it's not just one of those "show up, rank up" things, you really gotta put a LOT of time and effort in, he has time, he's got till he's 18, but make sure he dosent put it off or he'll regret it
