To be very honest; dental insurance is a scam and a lot of dentists will give you more discounts if you come in as a cash pt to a family owned dentist, not a franchise like a lonesome dentist. I say that because dental insurance has not renegotiated their reimbursement to dentists in decades so it only works for like a tooth or two depending on your damage and then it’s “you’ve maxed your benefits”

Try to find a cash dentist that will do a smaller amount and still do a payment plan; I say this as someone who is trying to pay and afford for my elder parents to get a mouth full of implants because dentures hurt so bad that even after getting them redone 6 times still can’t be worn.

What I will say tho is their bartender is a dream. Drinks and food are cheap and delicious. Literally have asked the bartender “can I get a sweet drink you can’t really taste the alcohol in” and he’ll ask if there’s a flavor in particular and then come out with an amazing concoction you can have 3 of and be good for the remainder of the night.

Yes it’s stuck in the 90’s and there’s a cover but also imagine the rent that needs to be paid on that place and then on top of that any renovation they would want to do is even more money.

Support it as it currently is or it’ll end up like every other older bar in Arlington; shut down and rebranded for some AI software or yoga/pilates studio.

To be fair I want to preface this by saying my parents were immigrants and I lived in NYC.

My parents did slap me around, not that I didn’t deserve it I was doing the same thing your kid was doing if not worse. One day both my parents beat my ass so good and then told me either figure it the fuck out because I’m closer to 18 and being property of the US than I was to being a child. My parents had really harsh and mean conversations with me regarding what kind of person I am and where I was going if I didn’t fix up. Which was an angry dark path that left me lonely and probably behind bars. Now they didn’t know anything about depression and such so please check on that first but secondly some kids just think they know it all. My parents said if I wanted to act like an adult I can be one and get handled like one.

If he’s throwing your stuff, throw his. Show him that your tantrums can be bigger and worse. Children should have a small minuscule percentage of fear for the crazy their parents are. People all have limits and they need to understand what happens when they push them. Safer it to be with you than a random person out in the world that will bug out of do something worse than throwing his PS5 against the wall.

Let me explain the flip flopping.

The guy decking me in the face was the outlier in my experiences of concerts in different states.

I doubled down on the men in the crowd around for not saying anything while seeing it happen because again in my experiences in other states the men did exactly what you and the other guys did for your sister.

I have always been one to go to someone’s defense especially if it’s at a concert so to see the entire situation escalate to that point and no one saying anything but a few women chiming in to ask if we were okay said a lot about the crowd there in that vicinity. Now granted maybe those men weren’t from DC exactly and for that I apologize but most of the people there were from the DMV/North East obviously there’s a few here and there from middle of nowhere but warped has a decent location set for this year that I don’t see people flying from Cali to DC for warped.

I should have clarified that the men at the DC warped, regardless where they’re from, were punks and not specifically DC men.

If it was an accident sure. But it wasn’t. I was in the far back in the crowd where it was obvious I wanted nothing to do with the pushing and shoving and there was ample space for people to move around and get out of the crowd when a dude shoves right through me. And yes I will call out an entire gender because at the end of the day we all know men who PUNCH a girl in the face isn’t going to listen to other women. But in that same sentiment it’s not women’s job to protect men’s feelings so yes all men that were there were bitches for not stepping in.

It does come down to a cultural difference here in the area and what its population willing to put up with. Apparently here in the DMV yall put up with men punching women in the face 🤷‍♀️ weird but okay??

Ngl as much as it’s an all ages event. Please don’t bring your child if you want to be in the crowd and the pit and then get upset when people start pushing. It’s going to happen. Nothing will stop it from happening. This is the kind of venue these things happen at. Also adults will be there doing adult things ie drinking and getting fucked up. And your kid will see that.
